the way a lot of people talk online gives the impression that a story or fictional relationship having elements that (before the word got rightly deprecated) would have been termed "problematic" is a sign that something involved is some minimum baseline level of interesting

but like. I've read enough bad-to-mediocre lesbian fiction to say pretty definitively that no... it is not
