Ahaha! Long story, but basically... MK has three other friends outside the Harbingers of Chaos, aka us and others, and they're all the Bearers of Unity. They hold four different elements, and MK represents the Element of Hope!

You'd be surprised at how wild their friend group is. A mystic monkey, dragon oni hybrid, a purple alicorn pony, and a blue hedgehog!

[interestingly, besides their MK having blue streaks, is that everyone shares their colors in some way.]

[MK's blue streaks match the hedgehog's quills, the pony's main hair color is the same as the markings on the hedgehog. The pony's yellow streaks match the hybrid's blonde hair, and his dark brown hair streaks match MK's natural hair color.]

... I know MK doesn't really like his blue streaks. I think they're very pretty, but... He keeps saying they stick out like a sore thumb.

His hair streaks do match Sonic's quills though. Which actually feels a bit intentional on destiny's part. I mean, who would design four destined heroes without thinking of something to tie them all together? Although it kinda feels a bit obvious in hindsight, not to mention cliché, I can understand how it links the four of them together.
