i went outside to quiet the noise in my head, but the night was already waiting.

sleep wouldn’t have me, because i needed to lose something- but it followed me and faintly stood beside me in the road.

nothing moves but the fog. it almost seems unsure of itself. it holds everything at a distance, as though the night doesn’t want to be known.

i find myself staring at the streetlight- a pale circle suspended in the dark, like someone left a question there and walked away.

i stand there longer than i need to.

i don't know if the answer will ever come in words, but i think i understand just a little, in the way the light refuses to travel.

some things never quite settle. they quietly keep the watch.

like that light pole holding up the dark with a single, tired bulb.

Did another digital art using Procreate on my iPad Air 5.

The puppy is my friend’s Dachshund. Her name is Truffle.

I’m still struggling how to shade and highlight but I see improvement. Let me know what you guys think!

We all know that moving on can be as painful as the breakup but we also know that at the end of it all we find peace, serenity, and happiness that we got through it and we are still alive.

JUST ONE STEP

The world around me holds its breath -

they watch me tremble.

There is no earthquake

and yet my body shakes

As I take one step.

It's been a while

since I felt this tall, this high

and yet I'm still minuscule

compared to all those glaring eyes.

Just one step and that's it!

My veins contract to the force

of lifting my foot to the air.

All these eyes will behold

how my wings were never broken

and witness my valor and gallantry

as I launch myself to the clouds.

But I will never reach their piercing gaze

unless I detach my feet from the ground.

And just one step is all it will take

to not let myself and everyone down.
