Septimius Severus had two sons, Geta and Caracalla, who were supposed to rule together after their father’s death. Caracalla ordered his brother’s assassination and erased images and mentions of him on art and architecture (damnatio memoriae). Hence, this arch does not have inscriptions or images of Geta.

If the Arch of Titus looks familiar to you, it’s probably because the monument is the inspiration for Paris’ Arc de Triomphe.

Im not entirely sure if my question came through because my phone crashed, but I asked if youd heard of the Contemporary Arts Center and the Erich Kunzel Center for Arts and Education in downtown Cincinnati, OH. They are both fairly interesting pieces of architecture in my mind
The Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnatiby Zaha Hadid Architects is in my opinion the most successful of the two projects, and the only one I have visited. It is one of the most controlled designs by Hadid with a scheme focused in addressing the urban corner in a dynamic and contemporary way. The project is like a jewel box full of interesting concepts even if not all of them are fully realized. The two main ideas being the the urban carpet that enters the building at the first level and then rises up the back wall; and the 3d jigsaw puzzle that are the galleries, all unique and different to accept all potential art exhibits.
I don’t really have much to say about Erich Kunzel Center for Arts and Education by Moody Nolan. The building design seems unfocused and to be honest dated, for a project that is only seven years old. I can only comment on the designs from the pictures because I have never visited the project.

Snowdust in Hubei
Hubei (Chinese: 湖北; pinyin: Húběi; Wade–Giles: Hu-pei; postal: Hupeh) is a province of China, located in the easternmost part of Central China. The name of the province means “north of the lake”, referring to its position north of Dongting Lake. The provincial capital is Wuhan, a major transportation thoroughfare and the political, cultural, and economic hub of Central China.
Hubei is officially abbreviated to “鄂” (È), an ancient name associated with the eastern part of the province since the Qin dynasty, while a popular name for Hubei is “楚” (Chǔ), after the powerful State of Chu that existed here during the Eastern Zhou dynasty.
