hi friends!!!! as some of you may know, i was just accepted to a really great school that is completely changing my life and career path!!!! however, it will be 9-5 every weekday, leaving me very little time to do art commissions which is my main source of income right now.

i have approx one week left to do some commissions before i start school, and after that i’ll be living off of my savings for the most part, which is absolutely terrifying but i know it will work out in the end!!! so first and foremost: i want to thank you all for the support and love i’ve gotten over the years, i love it and i love you!!!

secondly: i have a ton of portraits i haven’t sold yet that i am slappin p hefty sale prices on!!!! i’ll make a list of them at the bottom of this post.

thirdly: hmu asap if you’re looking for something small, be it a small tattoo design or a logo design or just a cute little watercolor or something!!! y’all have until the 6th of january to put in an order for something custom.

hi my lovelies! long time no talk!  this is just a reminder that holidays are coming up quick, if you’re looking for a pretty, unique gift this is it!  it seems that this year, a trend among my customers has been white charcoal portraits on black paper of their doggies!!!! the price for something like this is around $120-175, depending on the intricacy you’re looking for. <3 

i’m also selling signed broad city prints, pinecone prints, and a select other few.  alternatively, check out my society6 shop for some canvas prints, cute mugs, shirts or pillows with my art on them!!

As a fellow portrait artist I first want to absolutely applaud you on your amazing work it's fantastic you've mastered capturing people using every form of art your work is truly inspiring to me and making me want to use pencils more! I'm curious about Bristol board I paint portraits in watercolour and I experiment on different surfaces is Bristol board good for watercolours? Thank you!

You can give it a go, but Bristol board is generally quite smooth and not super porous. It’s hard to control watercolor on it, but it’s not impossible :) I use extra smooth Bristol board, but there are some other types you can find that would work a bit better for illustration purposes like that. :D Portraits in watercolor are challenging when it’s a rougher grain like most watercolor surfaces are. The watercolor blocks with all the sides glued (I use Canson, myself) work really well for me, though!
