"That is part of the beauty of literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong."

Shit is getting real. First, disclaimer, I've never really been one to date (whether by my own decisions or not) but I am so nervous and excited for everything that is happening now. We found a house downtown that I love that is perfect for us. Now we are trying to find the perfect dog to add to our house. I'm dying. I'm dead. I honestly never thought this would happen for me, but I am so glad it is.Â
Apartment shopping with my boyfriend because adulthood. We found a really cute house downtown that would be perfect for us to move in to. A legitimate house, not just an apartment. Wow, what is happening.
Your person tells you that if you wanted to right now, he would marry you. Then the next day when he asks you do you think we would have a boy or girl first. I'm (not) sorry y'all, but I'm so very much in love.
One awesome thing about Eeyore is that even though he is basically clinically depressed, he still gets invited to participate in adventures and shenanigans with all of his friends. And they never expect him to pretend to feel happy, they just love him anyway, and they never leave him behind or ask him to change.
And he does feel happy, though. He can be happy. He just doesn’t show it as much as the others do.
There was a whole episode about that - Piglet sees him sitting on a hilltop and thinks he’s sadder than usual, and does all he can to cheer him up. Nothing works and the next day he’s back on the hill, and Piglet apologizes because he thinks in trying to help, he just made him sad again and ”I don’t come here when I’m sad. I come up here because I’m happy.”
this is great because i bet that’s what they felt like. Like everything else in the world had stopped and it was just the two of them. So freaking cute i’m sad
I was just thinking this. She actually takes the children back to visit their family in their home country and they study about their own cultures. She isn’t one of those white people trying to assimilate her non-white children.Â
it does have her kids drawings on it, they also helped to write the vows and Maddox the eldest boy made the cake with his friends, which is probably why he looks so nervous in the picture of them cutting it.
Every single thing I hear about this wedding makes me so happy even though they’re complete strangers to me because it just seems so joyful.
I remember reading a while ago that when they hire nannies, they have a nanny from each child’s country of origin, who is fluent in their country’s native language, and can teach not just the individual child but the whole family about that country and culture. It’s really incredible how non-assimilative they’ve made their household.
