Imagine, if you will, sometime shortly after "Nothing Can Stop Della Duck", Della is in Donald's houseboat looking at all the photos of the boys he's taken over the years. A bittersweet experience to be sure, but she's grateful to have some record of her sons growing up.

Except... there's something weird about the photos that she picks up on pretty quickly, and she only gets more confused as she goes through them longer. Finally, Della goes back to the mansion to find Scrooge and asks what she believes is a pretty simple question.

Why isn't he in any of the pictures with Donald and the boys?

And that's how Della finds out that Scrooge and Donald had no contact for a decade after she took the Spear of Selene.

Heron definitely knew about Bradford's plan, but what about the rest of F.O.W.L? Were they completely in the dark beyond him having a grand master plan? Were they aware that he wanted to wipe "dangerous" things off the face of the earth and just thought "well he wouldn't do that to me"?

If you ask me, no.

They all wanted different things; Rockerduck wanted his youth, Blot wanted vengeance, Gandra wanted a place to keep his research. SteelBeak and Heron probably just wanted to do evil. No one knew, other than Heron, maybe, the plan was to kill them all at the end.

And, I'm sure Heron never expect to be part of the "cleaning". She was genuely shock to be pushed to her doom, seconds before her smile.

Bradford deceived them all.

There’s a very, very small part of me that wonders if Heron maybe had an inkling that Bradford wanted to kill her and just assumed he’d never have the guts to actually do it. I’m not sure how I feel about that idea.

But yeah, I can get on board with the idea that everyone else didn’t know that they were on the chopping block.

I have a half theory that, unknown to the McDuck family, Black Heron is responsible for the deaths of Donald and Della’s parents.

The reasoning is that it would’ve prevented any more heirs of Scrooge from being born (until Della had the triplets, of course), and also she really doesn’t need much of an excuse to inflict pain and suffering on her enemies. Whether this was done on Bradford’s orders or just on her own initiative is something I’m still debating.

Similarly, I think she’s the one who killed Duckworth, though that one was directly ordered by Bradford so as to break Scrooge’s spirit even further.
