Final Alphabet Poster
Project 2 Final Posters
Stagefright Alphabet and Stagefright quote
Digital practice of my calligraphy quote in my style, Stagefright. I’m attempting to make a layout that makes the reader uncomfortable, while maintaining legibility as well.
Digitalization of my hand lettering style, Stagefright, in lower case.
Practice for my calligraphy quote in my hand lettering style, Stagefright.
Practice for the hand lettering style I decided on. I’ve named it Stagefright, and have decided I like the thinner style more than the thicker ones I practiced.
Practice for hand lettering; working my way up to building a style. Some styles I tried out.
Project 1, 3 Drop Caps/Initial Caps Posters
40 samples for 3D Caps
These are the two exercises I did in class on Tuesday, as well as an extra one I attempted on my own. I like the 3D modeling materials and think I’ll do more experimenting to see what I can come up with, as I don’t feel the Z really worked out that well. I might however, try to incorporate things like the buttons into my letters.
I’ve been taking different approaches to my letters depending on the design. The coins were easy enough, though tedious, with the amount of copying and lining up I had to do. I think the crystal K was my favorite this far, maybe because I love crystals, but also because I had fun going through textures and working on the line weight to come to something I felt was accurate enough. I’m still unsure how to feel about the match-smoke R, since I want it to have nice color, but so far the gradient in black and white is making me feel iffy. I haven’t yet made many changes to my designs.
