The Soldier was on the upper side of two-fifty and Rumlow hissed, trying to keep his knees from buckling as the Soldier’s finally gave out.
“Little fucking help would be nice,” He hissed through gritted teeth- Hands slipping and scrabbling to find purchase on the leather through all the blood.
The Soldier slumped forward and his head lolled as Rollins looped an arm around him and dragged him over to rest against a wall. “What even happened?”
Brock jerked his head up to meet his gaze, shrugging. “Pulse blast got his ass, good bit’a shrapnel, too. He’s dazed as hell— Fuck.” Rumlow kicked a chunk of dirt before turning back to the Soldier.
He got down on a knee, grabbing the Soldier by the chin and forcing his head up.
“Hey, kid-“ The lines in his face deepened as glassy blue eyes didn’t seem to stare at much of anything.
“Rollins, find Reilly and get the med bag off him. Wounds’ll be fine, he can struggle through that shit on his own— There’s two vials of epi, draw those out an’ he’ll be right as rain.” Anything so they weren’t going to have to haul his ass back wobbling like a baby fucking giraffe.
And- he was off, they were alone, Brock standing over the Soldier with his arms crossed and covered in blood.
