Menhit! :)
This was my submission for one of the Character Design Challenges on FB, I did’t make the submission in time, but I still kinda like this piece! There are improvements to be made, but I still wanted to share this!
This was an extra animation that I did for the EduCare piece. I had to cut this scene from the animation as it would have been too long, but I had time to animate this for my presentation, and I wanted to have a crack at some character animation! :)
Here are some more motion graphic animations that I did for a job application process back in June?? I think? Learnt a lot from this, and was able to experiment with a bit more character animation. :)
Here’s an up to date version of my showreel! :)

Here’s another lil motion graphic animation I completed a couple of weeks ago!!
Another short motion graphic animation that I did for a job application!
finished the line work on this! gonna colour it, and maybe do another one?
a dood
Another final piece for my honours project! (This is a belated upload...again...)
A Jengu is usually some type of water spirit that is worshipped by some tribes in West Africa. It's seen as a creature/deity that will bless healers and those who are sick. It's portrayed as a mermaid like creature that lives in rivers and lakes.
I re-designed her as if she originated from Mongolian culture. I wanted to use ink and watercolour-like brushes in order to make the piece look like it had a traditional Eastern Asian art style. I also added an old paper texture to make the image seem aged. As well as Mongolian flowers around her, and in her arm, as they are/have been used for medicinal purposes.
Belated upload of parts of my colouring process on my Humbaba piece!
Just finished this animation for a job application process!
Had to produce something that was 15 seconds long and in a simple 2D vector style. Logo is from some designs that I’ve been working on for a friend!
Well chuffed with this piece and had a lot of fun making it!
i need to give this lil blog a make over...needs a dustin’
A gave a really old OC a slight make over (i did a redraw basically lmao).
i also had a practice with colouring, still working out what brushes i like, and what kind of colouring style i want to go for.
i did a dood of takao on me new cintiq lads
i still dont rly know how 2 colour
This is my favourite piece from my honours project!! This is a Humbaba! :)
The Humbaba is a mythical creature that originates from West Africa. It's a giant with a lion's head, and is seen as a bad omen, as it has a tendency to attack and eat people. I re-designed it as if it came from India. I looked into other themes that appear in Indian art, and symbols for death.
I used symbols such as skulls, a snake and a sprig of tulsi. Tulsi is a plant that is placed with the deceased during indian burials. And a woman’s head (probably one of his unfortunate victims).
2D Animation (Rough)
My final animation! Well...not final final. I plan to have a coloured version done soon! (With more audio alterations, hopefully!) I’ll need to contact my audio guy to see if he’s still up for having another crack at some extra audio. :)
As said on my post for the animatic, this is based off of audio from an audio book called “The Red Necklace” written by Sally Gardner.
Enjoy!
