All of these babies are going to be up for adoption very very soon! Natasha on the top left is an affectionate purr monster and loves belly rubs. Piggy, on the top right, is a mamas boy who will follow you and climb your pant legs. Aaron Purr, on the bottom right, is partially spoken for and he is an adventurer and curious little boy. The other kitty is only available if you're interested in taking her with one of the other kitties. DM me for info on how to adopt and meeting them!

I have never been a fan of the utilization of "It'll get better", tbh. For those of us with clinical depression, depression doesn't get better. It is. It's low days and high days. It's surrounding yourself in mess because the energy that should go into cleaning and staying on top of things and socializing just isn't there today. But depression is all the time. It's a medical problem. I will get "better" relatively. I will be great but I will be a great person with depression, But my (aspirational) greatness will never be because of my fight against depression, but because of our symbiosis and balances. Mental illness is a sickness and shout be treated as one - experimental, continual, terminal. It's not scary, just as hard as any illness should be. Sometimes that is what I need and sometimes it is not - ASK YOUR FRIEND:/FAMiKY/COLLEAGUES in individual moments what they need and how to accommodate that, and the respect and trust we deserve - even if you think you hold no power. Depression Is so normal but can be so destructive. And il!doesn't get better". We get stronger. We find power and persistence. #depression #semicolonproject416 #PSA #rant ??

I had the pleasure of meeting with LIBUŠE JARCOVJÁKOVÁ, an astounding photographer visiting the East Coast for her show Trans_fusion at the New York Czech Center (open thru the 30th for all ya’ll in NYC!!!). Libuše’s work is consistently and painfully beautiful and effortlessly emotive (or at least it looks effortless, her dogmatic approach to composition and evocation are so smooth as to appear invisible). Working in tandem to weighty names such as Nan Goldin, Diane Arbus, and Robert Frank, Jarcovjáková documented Rroma families in Prague, gay and lesbian night clubs, and, most recently, an iPhone photograph collaboration with her mother as Libuše took care of her in the last three years of her mothers life . The rawness and presence, as though one is experiencing the club in 1983, or the Rroma weddings, are overpoweringly emotive - such tenderness, love, 

And, to brag just a teeny bit, she really liked my work! Her input on what to include or which sensibilities to lean on a little more was invaluable (not to mention the pleasant ego boost of hearing that someone not Quaker was genuinely interested in my work). So, I extend my thanks and love to Libuše Jarcovjáková, and if any of ya’ll are in or around NYC during the next week - check out her show!
