my synesthesia

anyone else have synesthesia ? Like any form of it ? I have grapheme-color synesthesia so letters and numbers are different colors to me. (for example my F’s are green, my L’s are yellow, and my E’s are pink). I also have Chromesthesia so i see color in sounds (For example in people’s voices, car horns, and musical instruments). I realized what it was a little less than a year ago, and before that i thought it was normal or i was just being weird. I know there’s a bunch of other types and i would love to hear about those and if/ what type of synesthesia you have !! :)

i honestly love the finnish way of addressing lgbt people. i’m not a fan of the acronym, ‘cause if you include absolutely everyone, it gets super long and complicated, and if you don’t include everyone, well.. you don’t :D which sucks.

but in finnish we call the community the rainbow community. families with one or more queer parent are called rainbow families. queer and trans kids are called rainbow youth. we’re called rainbow people.

rainbow is such a nice way to describe us (dodie’s rainbow is a beautiful song which i think sums up the niceness of it). it’s beauty. it’s joy. it’s simply nice.

and it’s inclusive no matter what. once when i went to a rainbow youth event, the adult supervising the event said something so simple, but something that will stick with me forever. i’m not very good at translating stuff, but basically she said “everyone fits underneath the colours of the rainbow.”

i really wish the term would spread to the english language as well, ‘cause i’m really happy to call myself a rainbow person.
