(Genshin Impact) Time Alone with Shenhe

I got some lint and this entire Shenhe imagine I found in my pockets. Want some?

A/N: Some NSF-W implications, but mostly intimate

Spending time with Shenhe means that on some occasions, you go outside the city outskirts of Liyue and closer to the mountains.

It's not something you entirely minded, every now and then it was a good idea to get away from people and clear your thoughts. Besides, the breathtaking views Shenhe knew was worth the walking.

This time around, she took you to a rather secluded area, one that had the clearest lake you had ever seen.

Well, 'lake' was generous. It was moreso a rather large pond hidden in one of Liyue's many mountains. An area secluded and with only one path up and down into it.

(Shenhe) "I apologize it took so long to reach our destination this time, (Y/N)."

Shenhe's stoic voice came from behind, completely unaffected by the hike. Meanwhile, you were sweating buckets, not to mention that you only had a single backpack.

In one arm, Shenhe was carrying most of the camping equipment without her arm even drooping.

(Y/N) "...I need to work out more."

Shenhe's brows slightly raised at that, making you beam with pride. She found the comment amusing!

She gently dropped the equipment to the ground, to which you did the same with your pack, helping set the tent up.

You two would stay here for only a few days, but she insisted on making sure you'd be comfortable since you weren't used to outdoor conditions like she was.

That would explain why this secluded area was her suggested campsite. It had plenty of trees to act for shade with a large enough body of water to swim around in, not to mention the single path would make it easy to leave and enter should you decide to see what else was around.

Though the best part of this, meant you got to have this place to yourself with no risk of monsters or other travelers. Or more accurately, she would get to have you to herself.

(Shenhe) "Do you think we should start to cook dinner?"

Shenhe's question snapped you out of your thoughts. She was looking at you with a curious expression, one that never made you fail to smile as you shook your head, still feeling the sun on your back. Though, it wouldn't be long before it set.

(Y/N) "Hm, once we finish the tent maybe. But more than anything, I just wanna sit for a little while!"

She nodded, focusing on setting the tent up at an impressive speed. By the time you had finished one peg, she had already finished the others.

(Y/N) "So, I'm guessing you chose this place for a reason? Usually, we just kinda stumble upon our resting spots."

As your legs ached sitting upon the grass, you saw Shenhe walk towards the water, staring ahead at the rocky walls that surrounded it.

(Shenhe) "I often come here for meditation. The solitude it provides is welcome."

(Y/N) "Ah, so this is your personal hideout?"

(Shenhe) "In a sense. But it's a place I've wanted to share with you for quite some time. The chance just didn't present itself until now."

You smiled at your girlfriend, taking a deep breath and admiring the fresh air and view.

(Y/N) "Then, thank you for sharing it with me."

Shenhe turned back to you, a slight semblance of a smile forming on her lips, a sight that made you blush.

Dinner had come and gone faster than you thought, though that was probably because of how tired you were.

But what she had suggested next woke you up VERY quickly.

(Shenhe) "We should bathe ourselves before we rest for the night."

(Y/N) "Heh, don't think we have any tubs near us."

You mainly meant that as a joke, but Shenhe seemed to disagree.

(Shenhe) "We can use this pond. I have done so before many times, in fact."

With how small this area was, it was impossible to have any sense of privacy! At least before there was a few tree-lines to separate you two!

(Y/N) "A-Ah, I see! In that case you can go ahead first-"

(Shenhe) "We can use it at the same time, (Y/N)."

You began to feel the tips of your ears burn as you realized she was completely serious.

And it only intensified as you met her eyes. There was no sign of hesitation written on her face, just her usual stoic expression.

...Though your face still burned, the usual reasons for getting flustered began to fade. This was Shenhe, after all. She wouldn't make a suggestion like this out of nowhere if she didn't trust you.

That reminder was what got you to nod, standing up and you looked at the glimmering pond.

(Y/N) "I'll...look away so you can change."

(Shenhe) "...But we will both be naked-"

(Y/N) "I-I know! It'll just...gimme some time to prepare myself!"

You quickly turned around before she could bring up more valid points, taking your clothes off and folding them neatly on a nearby rock.

(Shenhe) "I am finished.-"

You tried to steel yourself to turn around, but thankfully you could hear her step into the water with a few gentle splashes.

Whether or not she was staring at you back, you politely stepped toward the water with one hand raised over your head-

(Shenhe) "You're going to trip if you do that."

(Y/N) "I-I just wanna be polite! I don't wanna ogle you or anything..."

Your heart skipped several beats when you heard her exit the water to gently grab your hand.

You could see her feet enter your view, making your eyes go up to hers on instinct-

And now your heart might as well have stopped.

The way the moonlight shone upon her, the water droplets glistening her white hair, dropping down her toned arms.

Her gentle blue eyes staring into yours, an expression filled with fondness only for you to see.

She appeared almost ethereal, as if she weren't even human. But of course, the warmth that held your hand convinced you otherwise.

(Y/N) "You're..!"

Gorgeous couldn't even begin to describe her. Every single word you could think of died upon trying to exit your lips. Nothing you could ever say could properly convey just how beautiful you thought Shenhe was.

She still had the rope wrapped on her arm, but it did nothing to diminish the view before you.

Her expression turned a little gloomier, the furrow of her brow catching you off guard.

(Shenhe) "You're not...afraid, are you?"

Her voice dropped, but before she could begin to even think of letting go, you squeezed her hand tight and smiled.

(Y/N) "Hah, not for the reasons you're probably thinking of...I just can't think of the word to describe how beautiful you are."

You could feel the wind blow across your skin, making you shiver. Shenhe quickly dragged your hand into the water with her-

(Y/N) "C-COLD! GAH, THATS SO DAMN COLD!"

Shenhe gave you a small smile, the sight almost making you forget about the freezing waters creeping from your feet to your waist.

And now it was the furthest thing from your mind as the two of you stepped into the water proper, the water coming up to your chest and barely reaching hers.

She was taller than you, a fact you were reminded of as she held you close, unintentionally smothering you.

(Shenhe) "Are you still cold?"

(Y/N) "...A little but-."

Your arms snaked their way to her back, feeling the water drip down from it and onto your elbows.

(Y/N) "I think you're helping with that a lot now..."

She shifted your arms to the side so she could hug you tighter, lifting you up so you could be at face level.

To that, you closed the distance and kissed her, a small peck that she leaned into.

Your arms slid down hers, kissing her again and letting a small laugh escape.

With you two being so close with no layers in between it felt...special. You were still flustered to be sure, who wouldn't when the woman you loved was naked with you?

And yes, it was a little awkward, but it felt right.

Something Shenhe clearly agreed with, the way she smiled openly at you, squeezing you tighter than before-

...Wait.

Your eyes went wide as it shot toward her arm, her bare arm.

You could also feel the red rope you had accidentally shifted off in the kissing brush past your legs.

And now, you were praying to Rex Lapis that Shenhe didn't experience cuteness aggression, because you were going to DIE if she did.

This time, Shenhe initiated the kiss, holding your head close.

Once she parted for air, the smile she gave you was so...earnest. You could finally see it unrestrained-...Okay maybe that wasn't the best word to use, given the situation-

After an intense and passionate hour passed, she had grabbed the rope and put it on herself via pure discipline, and the two of you went back to cleaning yourselves in the pond.

...Though a small part of you would be lying if you said the rope coming off wasn't entirely enjoyable, it was nice to just share a nice moment with her.

(Shenhe) "Thank you for indulging me."

You smiled, kissing Shenhe on the nose and catching her slightly off guard.

(Y/N) "I'd do it again in a heartbeat for you. Now come on, let's get to bed."

You motioned to leave the pond, in which your muscles burned in agony. Whether it was from the hike or Shenhe, you didn't know and honestly didn't care at this rate.

You know I've only now realized the irony of this blog being named in honor of Genshin girls, only to have barely written them in the past two years.

Navia loves crashing at her beloved's café whenever she's not working! Whether it's on lunch, a day off, or when it tickles her fancy, she'll be there more often than their house!

The most coffee addicted customer would have nothing on her!

...Well, mostly she's just there snacking and aura farming with her shades, fancily sitting near the counter and talking to S/O, admiring them in their apron.

Admittedly, she'd be distracting them from their work every time she was there, but not like the two cared that much, nor could anyone blame them.

She always made an entrance showing up, cheerfully calling for S/O's name, sitting in her favorite table (the one closest to the counter).

(Navia) "Dear, I'm here! The usual please!"

And if it was run by other staff, they'd both absolutely adore her, and want her to shut up because they already know all the fun facts Navia told them about her beloved, please don't enter the kitchen-

Unlike her friend, Clorinde is quite the opposite.

Her presence is very quiet, yet demanding of attention. The way she enters through the door, giving a silent smile to S/O before sitting in the corner.

Everyone, staff and other customers are intimidated. She's just standing there, menacingly!

And yet, all her attention is on S/O the moment they bring her the usual.

(Clorinde) "My thanks. Has the morning gone alright for you?"

S/O will take a little bit to sit down with her, regardless of how busy it was.

She'd have to leave not too soon after, but her quiet moments with S/O in their café would be something she'd never take out of her schedule.

The best part, was that this one of the few places during the day she could take refuge from the nosy reporters, beside their house.

Chiori enters and leaves S/O's café within thirty seconds. She's got work too, after all. And she knows better than anyone how annoying it was to have someone interrupt it, whether you loved them or not.

She'll grab her coffee, give S/O a smile, then turn right around.

Chiori also makes sure to ignore any comments asking for her, if they had a request for an outfit, they better do it in her store.

Besides, if she got one of the more annoying customers before she could even eat for the day, it'd be S/O's windows suffering.

When S/O closes up for the day and returns home, they'll find Chiori on their couch, sketching an outline for a dress before mentioning:

(Chiori) "Think one of your workers put a bit too much cream this morning. Mind if you can make it tomorrow instead?"

Every now and then, she drops by a little recipe for S/O, usually consisting of Inazuman dessert specials for them to serve. Of course, it also comes with a small promotion for her shop.

Xianyun might as well work at the café, seeing how she's always there giving advice and helping make machinery for S/O.

But more than anything, she's there to taste test, and she is brutal.

It doesn't matter if it's staff or S/O, if the food tastes like crap, she's GOING to let them know, politely of course. Unless you piss her taste buds off.

It feels like a food critic and mother is there at the same time, (which given her true nature as caretaker for Ganyu, Shenhe, and many more, is probably more accurate) ensuring the quality is up to par.

But also, it gives her an excuse to try out all sorts of inventions, helping S/O's business more, and also giving her tastier meals to enjoy with loved ones!

(Xianyun) "Little stove? What an absurd name! It merely heats things up, not cook it! And besides, this would be terrible to serve for many of the treats and drinks provided...Though, if we put a mug in here...-"

On that note, Shenhe, Ganyu, and Zhongli will naturally be regulars at this café, usually sitting and bantering with Xianyun.

Beidou swings the door wide open like she owns the place, shouting out for S/O.

(Beidou) "Your finest drinks, please!"

(Staff) "M-Ma'am, we don't serve alcohol here!"

(Beidou) "Then gimme your manager, got a few words for them anyway!~"

Beidou comes in like an ocean storm, breezing past the staff and their counters to surprise S/O, dragging them out.

Whenever she comes back to land, this café is always the first place she finds S/O, making sure to tell them about her adventures and latest finds.

Of course, this comes with a catch.

This means that the entire crew will be showing up, and have developed a taste for coffee, mixing it with their alcohol bottles they smuggled in.

Beidou combines several of the tables into a makeshift mega table, easily overpowering the entire noise of the café alone.

Which Kazuha always apologizes for, graciously accepting the coffee plain while everyone else is getting trashed.

Though amazingly, only their sobrierty is wrecked, Beidou and the crew (THANKFULLY) clean after themselves and put it back the furniture where they found it.

...Mostly.

(H:SR) Hanging out with Silver Wolf

This spawned into being because @cmiru needed Silver Wolf content, and I arrive to deliver Mostly domestic fluff, can be interpreted as platonic or in a relationship

Silver Wolf leaned casually onto the couch, chewing her gum without a care in the world while you were fighting for your damn life.

Both of you were playing some kind of rhythm game, but competing against one another.

And, predictably, she was having zero trouble kicking your ass as the points nearly doubled yours. You were barely even able to comprehend the arrows flying into place while it looked like she had cheats on.

Though, as much as you wanted to accuse her of hacks (fitting, given her role), you knew it was pure skill.

And with said skill, the level completed with her being the winner. With a loud pop from her bubblegum, she turned to you with a small smirk.

(Silver Wolf) "Guess who's not making dinner tonight?"

(Y/N) sigh "Fine, fine. I'll get on it."

You got up from the couch in defeat, hearing her tag along right behind you.

(Y/N) "How were you even that good at it, I've been playing the game longer!"

(Silver Wolf) "Sounds like someone's trying to cope-"

(Y/N) "S-Shut up...!"

There was no real malice behind your words, moreso exasperation at your defeat since you had a 3 month headstart in playing the game, but the expert difficulty still eluded you.

Something that you knew she was living up despite her relatively calm voice.

Eventually you entered the kitchen and opened up the fridge, quietly staring at the...

...Blank fridge?

(Y/N) "What the...?"

(Silver Wolf) "Forgot to buy groceries again?"

That's right! You weren't expecting her back for another week, but she had finished her mission with the others early!

Meaning you had no reason to cook and just been eating takeout...Well, this was great.

You sighed, closing the door and leaning against the counter.

(Y/N) "No, just didn't think you'd be over so soon. Well, I guess we can always go out."

(Silver Wolf) "...Eh, don't feel like it, wanna stay home."

(Y/N) "Yeah, yeah. I guess I'll be back.-"

Before you could move to the door again, you felt her grab your wrist, catching you off guard.

Silver Wolf motioned to the table behind her, the small smirk from before still present.

(Silver Wolf) "Wanna stay home with you. We can just play something else and order a pizza or something."

You could feel your cheeks flush. That was incredibly sweet of SIlver Wolf-

(Silver Wolf) "Besides, gotta pre order a game at midnight and it's already ten. I'm not risking it."

And there it is...Wait a second-

(Y/N) "...You are the most infamous hacker in the galaxy, couldn't you just...y'know, hack the website to get it?"

(Silver Wolf) "Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact I don't wanna leave the house."

...Well, fair enough you supposed.

(Y/N) "Then let's see what we can get delivered."

With a hum of agreement, Silver Wolf sat down on the couch with you, booting up a game on her phone as you searched up what was still open...

(Y/N) "Alright...this look good to you?"

(Silver Wolf) "Yup."

(Y/N) "...Silver Wolf, you haven't even looked in my direction for the past ten minutes-"

The only thing you could see was flashing colors illuminating her face as she blankly stared at the screen, sounds of fighting faintly ringing out.

How she didn't go blind looking at these kinds of games 24/7, you would never know. Well, she was wearing her gaming glasses right now, but still-

(Silver Wolf) "I'm getting the burger combo, I heard you, don't worry. Just hopefully they don't forget the straw this time."

(Y/N) "Heh, you could just take off the lid, you know-"

(Silver Wolf) "I'm not a freakin' savage. Besides, I paid for the straw."

(Y/N) "Straws come free...And plus, I'm paying for this, you aren't!"

(Silver Wolf) "Still. If I'm in the middle of a raid, how can I take the time to drink without risking spilling on my lap. Ice will melt before I can get to it safely."

You rolled your eyes, but she had a point. Not one you agreed with personally, but you knew she wouldn't budge.

(Silver Wolf) "If they don't have one, I'm stealing yours again."

(Y/N) "Hah, whatever..."

You felt her lean into your arm, the pretty shapes and colors now hitting your eyes from the periphery of your vision.

(Y/N) "Gah!- Turn the brightness down a little!"

(Silver Wolf) "Just get glasses like mine, bozo."

(Y/N) "I shouldn't be suffering because I'm just in the vicinity of your games!"

Jean, Lisa, Candace, Eula, Rosaria, Sara, Beidou, Dehya

"I miss my wife, Paimon. I miss her a lot. I'll be back." - Me messing with Jean's model in Blender, rushing to the writing board

Jean feels your head press into her shoulder as she's resting on the couch, making her smile as her arm adjusts to hold you closer.

(Jean) "You've been waiting a while, haven't you dear?"

You had decided to wait for Jean to finish writing her reports, something that became routine at this point no matter how late in the night was.

Although she always feels bad keeping you waiting, it warms her heart regardless. She only took a moment to sit down with you, prepare to leave before you shut your eyes.

Jean brushed the hair out of your eyes before kissing your forehead and picking you up in her arms.

(Jean) There are better places to sleep, S/O.

Jean kept the thought in her head to do her best not to wake you, effortlessly carrying you back to your shared house.

And for anyone walking by the streets of Mondstadt, they could see the Acting Grand Master carrying you, a gentle smile on her face.

Lisa lets out a soft chuckle, putting her book down on the table and staring out the window.

(Lisa) "It is napping weather right now, isn't it?"

Rain softly pattered against the library windows, meaning that hardly anyone would be coming in today.

Which suited her just fine! More time to have you to herself.

Lisa reclined further back into the couch, putting her hat over your head to block any potential light hitting your face before having you rest on her lap.

Though you shifted ever so slightly from the motion, you once again fell back into a slumber when she started caressing your face.

(Lisa) "Guess I should join you for a little bit.~"

Lisa shut her eyes and leaned her head back into the seat, not quite sleeping herself but at the very least resting her eyes.

Candace says nothing as she shifts on the couch, allowing yourself to be more comfortable.

Her lips are curling into a smile, softly stroking the back of your hand.

(Candace) Is my bare shoulder that comfortable?

As much as she wants to fetch a blanket or any kind of cloth to have you rest on instead, seeing how peaceful you looked caused her to have seconds thoughts.

Regardless, Candace wasn't going to wake you, opting to remain still and enjoy the sun setting through the window.

The village would rest well without her for this moment, and she wanted to savor every last of it with you next to her.

Her thumb continued to idly rub the same spot on your hand as Candace admired your cute sleeping expression.

(Eula) "How foolish of you, S/O..."

Indeed, you were reckless to let your guard down around a woman as beautiful as Eula! Now, she had you right where she wanted!

She gently lifted your head and had it rest on her chest, hugging and squeezing you closer to her as she melted into you.

Taking a deep breath, Eula adjusted her clothes and laid down with you, her heartbeat beating just a little bit faster.

There was seldom any time for her to remain home and snuggle you like this, especially since she usually had her uniform on.

Now, in her casual clothes, she could hold you close without any bits of jewelry stabbing into you!

...But the moment she senses that you're going to wake, she tries to have you sitting upright again, a scarlet hue on her cheeks but the smile still remaining.

(Rosaria) "...Whatever."

Rosaria sighs when she realizes you're asleep on her.

She did have something to do today and-...

...That something was choir practice. And you were asleep on her shoulder, not moving anytime soon.

(Rosaria) ...Know what? This can work.

Well, great! Now Rosaria has the perfect excuse to not go today, taking care of you.

...Now what? It was already past 10, and she could probably do something.

Eh, what the hell? If you were still dozing off even after waking up and sitting with her, then she can do the same. She needed more beauty sleep anyway.

She just grabs your waist and gently pushes you back onto the couch, opting to lay on your stomach and use you as a makeshift pillow.

Sara frowns at you falling asleep on her, knowing you probably didn't sleep well last night.

(Sara) sigh "This is why I didn't want you waiting on me last night..."

That being said, the image of you smiling at her the moment she walked through the door made her heart skip a beat.

Shaking her blush off, she firmly grabbed your shoulder, about to wake you up.

But, she loosens her grip and instead kisses your cheek.

(Sara) "I'll be back soon, I promise."

She grabs a nearby blanket to cover you in, a finger tracing your chin before reluctantly leaving.

Sara would only be needed for an hour or so, so there was small hopes for her to catch you still sleeping and be there when you awoke.

Beidou barely budges when your head starts drifting to her shoulder. A little laugh escapes her as she rolls her eye.

(Beidou) "Had to be on the side where I can't see ya, huh?"

She ruffles your hair with a free hand before leaning back into the chair.

As she pinched your cheek a little, Beidou couldn't really fault you for falling asleep. Tonight's voyage was longer than usual, and the swaying of the boat was perfect for rocking someone to bed.

Truth be told, Beidou might fall asleep herself soon, but for right now she wanted to hold you in her arms.

Something she did with almost zero issue, hugging you tight like a plush as the back of your head rested against her chest like a pillow.

(Beidou) "Now this is much better...~"

The warmth of the fire was nothing to Dehya compared to feeling you snuggle up to her, holding her arm as you drifted asleep faster than everyone else did.

Some of the mercs chuckled and bounced their eyebrows at their boss, but Dehya just gave them a glare, albeit one without any real heat to it.

Instead of having to mouth "Piss off" to everyone, they thankfully took the hint and left the two alone.

(Dehya) "Look at you giving us the VIP treatment, heh!"

Although she was a bit embarrassed, Dehya's wide smile betrayed her true feelings as one hand slid to your waist, just simply holding you as she looked up into the desert night.

Truthfully though, that didn't keep her interest long, since a certain someone decided to lean even further into her.

the soft glow and flicker of lanterns bathed the shrine's central courtyard in a warm amber light, shadows looming along the stone pathways. yae stood poised at the entrance of the shrine, her eyes scanning the gathering crowd with a calculated gaze. tonight was a special festival, with dignitaries and guests from far and wide attending.

truthfully, yae was not very focused on the crowd. instead, her gaze followed a certain someone through the swarm of attendees. she found amusment in the way you weaved through the mob, dodging hands and elbows. but, her eyes narrowed slightly when she noticed you approach another guest- a scholar, whose hand briefly brushed yours as they spoke. the way they smiled at you, the easy way they leaned in, and the sincerity of your laugh- it was a sight that unsettled yae. she continued to observe, but her patience quickly whittled away. with inhuman grace and silence, she swiftly moved closer, slowing only when she in talking distance

"you seem...quite popular tonight" yae teased softly, her voice like silk with just the faintest edge of something more. she reveled in the way you jumped at the feeling of her breath on your neck, quickly whipping around to face her. the scholar straightened quickly, bowing in flustered respect

"ah, guuji yae-"

but miko's gaze slid past him, landing on you instead. she stepped into your space, her faint smile never faltering

"i see you've been working very closely with our guest...how diligent of you" she said, her fingers brushing your sleeve as if to casually brush it off "...though, you know, i've been in need of your assistance myself"

you opened your mouth to explain, but miko gently presses a slender finger to your lips to silence you

"i do hope you haven't forgotten who keeps you busiest around here" she murmured, her tone lilting a playful threat

the scholar, clearly sensing an unspoken undercurrent, quickly excuses themselves, muttering about needing to fetch something. miko straightened, watching them go before turning her full attention to you

"they were just funny" you defend, trying to be as relaxed as possible, until you see the tiny crease of something like possessiveness at the corner of yae's mouth

"oh...is that so?" yae sneers, pressing a fingertip to your chin and guiding you to meet her gaze, "you will have to do much better than that if you want me to approve of your amusements"

your breath hitches at the sharp glint in her eyes, the air between you suddenly thick with tension. for all her usual playfulness, there's something in the way she's looking at you now that makes your stomach knot

yae tilts her head ever so slightly, reading your unease with a flicker of something softer beneath her gaze. her hand lingers under your chin, but her touch gentles. "ah, i've gone and startled you haven't i? i apologize little one....my, what a cruel guuji i must seem"

she withdraws her hand slowly, as though to give you space, but her eyes never leave yours. "very well," she sighs, "i'll offer you my forgiveness, but only if you're willing to be completely honest with me. no coy deflections, no clever little half-truths"

"f-fine...if you really want the truth, i...i like it when get jealous. when you're a little possessive"

for a moment, there's only silence, then yae's ears give the faintest twitch, her eyes narrowing with sharp amusement. the corners of her mouth curl into a knowing smirk, one that tells you she's already filing this little confession away for later use

"oh? my, my....what a dangerous little taste you have," yae purrs. without warning, she cups your cheek, pulling you just close enough for her lips to firmly press against your neck. when she finally leans back, a bold crimson mark is left just below your jaw, her gaze glinting with satisfaction

"there..." she purrs, fingers gently tilting your head so the light catches it better. "now everyone will know who you belong to for the rest of the night"

you had been staring at the same paragraph for twenty minutes, the soft, insistent ticking of the library clock making your eyelids heavier by the second, with nothing to show- no sudden flash of understanding, no clever association. the textbook in front of you might as well have been written in a language you couldn't understand. as if she had read your mind, lisa suddenly peeked her head around a nearby bookshelf

"darling...you look like you're trying to wrestle an octopus with your bare hands. perhaps you would like some assistance?"

lisa settled in beside you, the fabric of her dress brushing against your arm. her perfume was a soft, floral scent that enveloped you, and immediately made your head feel fuzzy

"what exactly is the trouble?" she asked, eyes gliding over the page

"everything..." you admitted, "i can't keep the concepts straight"

lisa hummed, a sound that might have been of amusement

"well...shall we start from the top?" she tapped a sentence with a well manicured finger. when she did, her palm gently grazed your wrist, causing the hairs on your arm stand up and your attention snap like a twig. "see? that first clause connects to the second by way of implication, not causation. you cannot approach these texts too literally. try again, but this time, read it as if it's a story"

you tried, as she asked, muttering a shaking interpretation. she nodded, pleased, giving your head a couple gentle pats "nicely done dear". you instantly flushed

she began to explain the next section, but your mind was already starting to wander. lisa's proximity, scent, and touches were the only thoughts in your head. you shook yourself back to reality. you were here to learn, not to memorize the scent of lisa's perfume

lisa wasn't helping either. each one of her "helpful" touches was a small, deliberate invasion. her hand would rest on the small of your back to nudge you closer to the paper, or she would adjust your grip, fingers brushing against yours in a way that made your pulse skip

"focus darling...you have a tendency to daydream" lisa chided. you attempted to answer her most recently asked question, but her eyes pinned you with that combination of amusement and teacherly severity that you couldn't even form a coherent sentence. when she let out a soft laugh at your flustered expression, the sound was a small, private thing that made it harder and harder to assemble thoughts. "oh dear, you're awfully tense," she murmured, letting her hand trail ever so slowly along your forearm, "and here i thought we were here to study..."

you finally started to realize that lisa had read you like one of her books, sensing how wound up you'd been lately. instead of drilling concepts into your head, she'd decided to melt the stress out of you entirely

eventually, she closed the book with a soft thump, her eyes glinting knowingly. "that's enough for today. come here dear." before you could even respond, she guided you into the plush chair by the window, drawing you into her lap like it was the most natural thing in the world. her arms wrapped around you, and you felt her heartbeat through the steady rise and fall of her chest. the world outside blurred into muted sounds, the only thing sharp and clear being the gentle warmth of her embrace and the faint lavender that clung to every breath you took

"you needed this more than the lesson" she whispered against your ear, her voice laced with that same quiet, knowing amusement. and in that moment, you couldn't argue

the night had blurred into a warm, stumbling haze. faces had long blurred together, and you remembered laughing too loudly at jokes that weren’t all that funny. you started with a couple drinks, and then another, then another, until the world tipped and you could no longer convince your legs to obey

just before you were about to black out, a steady hand slid beneath your elbow and guided you away from the press of the crowd

"easy there, had one too many drinks huh?" the stranger chuckles. "lean on me, ill get you somewhere quiet"

you tried to protest, but the words came out as a sleepy jumble. instead, you slurred a sleepy warning: "don't-don't make her angry. my girlfriend...she'll kill me if she sees me leaning on another girl." the woman who held you froze for one breath

"your girlfriend?" she repeated, voice low and amused. "she must care for you a great deal" you muttered something that sounded close to "tell her I said sorry," and draped one arm over the stranger's shoulder as if anchoring yourself. you sank into her, heavy and grateful, while the woman- mavuika, though you would not recognize her then- murmured, "we will see to that"

she guided you away from the crowd and down a narrow side street, carrying you like a cherished, sleepy relic. while mavuika slowly moved you back to your home, you babbled on

"she gets these freckles when she's flushed" you slurred. "she steals the covers and calls it a service" you go on. "she hums when she's fixing things." you move on to praises, and mavuika nearly stops in her tracks. she had been walking steadily, one arm firm around your waist to keep you upright, but now her pace slows, the corners of her lips tugging upward in a mixture of surprise and indulgent amusement

"mm? is that so?" mavuika murmurs, her voice low and silky smooth. when you call her "the most beautiful girl in teyvat," her breath leaves her in a small laugh, shaking her head. "i see...so my dear thinks so highly of me they'd even brag to strangers about it" she says softly

and when you slur out that you're lucky to have her, that no one else could compare, mavuika's eyes soften in a way you'd only recognize if you were sober. she lets out a quiet hum, brushing a stray lock of hair from your face with her free hand. "careful now," she chides, "if you keep talking like that, your 'angry girlfriend' might just forgive you before she even sees what trouble you've gotten yourself into tonight," but the way she holds you even closer and a little tighter says she's already melted <3

and when you wake up tomorrow morning, you'll find a neatly arranged plate containing warm bread and fruit, a glass of water beading with condensation, and a folded note tucked neatly underneath the rim.

you drank too much. i got you home safe next time, lean on me before the wine, not after

but it's the faint smudge of deep crimson you find on your right cheek that truly makes your heart flutter. you might not remember the details of last night, but somehow, with the warmth of her lingering care still wrapped around you, it doesn't matter

you found xilonen curled up on her workshop's makeshift bed, as she often did, sunlight pooling over her like a blanket. her hair spilled over mattress, and her tools lay scattered around haphazardly. in this moment, xilonen looked small, almost soft and foldable

you padded closer and grabbed a blanket from a nearby chair. it was one she had once woven herself, the threadwork uneven, the mark of a beginner. you draped it over her sleeping figure delicately, being very careful not to stir xilonen awake. without really thinking, you lowered yourself onto the bench beside her to tuck the other edge of the blanket under her elbow. a long, soft exhale left her lips as your arm brushed against hers. you lightly moved a stray lock from her temple and smiled at the small crease of contentment that settled there

just as you where getting up to leave, the bench dipped as xilonen shot her hand out startlingly fast. her fingers curled around your wrist, tugging you forward with surprising strength for someone half asleep. the world tilted, and you let out a quiet gasp as you tumbled onto the bed. xilonen didn't even open her eyes, only shifting lazily, guiding you closer until you were beneath the blanket with her. she gave a soft, contented sigh, draping one arm over you and pressing her forehead lightly to your temple, as though this had been her plan all along. you reached to adjust the throw, and when your hand met the back of her neck, xilonen nuzzled deeper into your embrace

at first, you told yourself you were only going to stay a minute, but the steady rythm of xilonen's breathing, the weight of her arm, and the warmth of her body made if harder and harder to think about leavimg. your eyelids grew heavier with each quiet second, and somewhere between counting her breaths and trying to sync your breathing with hers, you slipped into a gentle sleep

you blinked awake to the sounds of...mumbling? you quickly adjusted yourself to get a better of view of xilonen's face. was she having a nightmare? her lashes fluttered as she drifted around in her dream and then, unexpectedly, she mumbled again. "stay...never let you go" the words were so plain yet honest that your chest warmed as if someone had poured tea into it. you couldn't control the smile that bloomed across your face, and you also couldn't resist planting a featherlight kiss upon xilonen's soft lips. for a second, nothing happened.... then the faintest curve tugged at the corner's of her mouth, a sleepy smile blossoming as if she'd just been given the sweetest secret

when xilonen finally shifted awake, she expected to find only the usually stillness beside her, only to freeze when her gaze landed on you, nestled close, sound asleep. her surprised softened into something warmer, her lips parting into a disbelieving smile. as if on queue, you blinked awake

"morning..." you murmured

"it's almost dinnertime dummy" xilonen chuckles, gently brushing a stray lock out of your face

you stretched languidly, a sly smile curling across your lips as your memories slowly returned. "you know...you were saying the cutest things in your sleep" you teased

xilonen froze, her eyes widening for just a split second before narrowing in irritation. "i-what? no, i didn't" she quickly defended, pulling the blanket as if it was a shield

"oh you definitely did," you pressed. "something about...never letting me go?"

xilonen's ears went pink, and she turned her head away with a huff. "you must've been dreaming. i don't say sappy things like that." the lack of eye contact only made her defense less convincing. as you continued to corner her with your sly grin, she finally surrendered. "fine...maybe i was being sentimental in my sleep. do not tell anyone, okay?"

you promised and xilonen playfully shoved you back onto mattress, falling on top of you

"i meant everything i said, you know?"

you nod gently, careful not to bonk xilonen with you head. xilonen tucked her arm around you and shifted to distribute her weight more evenly

"let's stay like this for a little bit longer...shall we?"

- For a cunning trickster such as her, what better partner could she ask for other than your adorable bunny self?

- Honestly, the way your eyes used to widen every time she entered your vicinity was addictive in its patheticness. So much so that, in the end, even she couldn't find the strength to not latch her proverbial canines into you. Not like she even tried to hold back. Before long, you found yourself as her go-to victim for any pranks and general mischief. From simple things like sneaking up on you from behind to cornering you against walls with that signature smirk of hers, your poor heart was at its limit.

- Really, it was. The next day, when she'd merrily strode over to your usual workplace—prank ideas in tow—she was met with empty space. When she asked about your whereabouts, to her surprise, she earned a scornful glare.

You wound up in the hospital. And it was her fault.

- That day, a wave of shame coursed through her bones so violently that her knees nearly buckled under her. In her mind, the bond you two had formed was mutual. Sure, she had an impossible-to-satiate hunger for your adorable scared expressions, but you'd always greeted and bid her farewell with a cheery smile in the end. You even went out of your way to visit her at the Grand Narukami Shrine that one time, claiming that you'd "sensed something was off with her that day"—a feat she still has yet to figure out how you pulled off.

- Ugh. Was she seriously going to have to act vulnerable now, apologize even? For several hours, the shattered remains of her pride prevented her from visiting you. It certainly didn't help how vividly she could imagine you cowering away from her if she did, shaking and risking worsening your condition even further. Maybe it was better to just stop talking to you altogether.

- How strange. For a prey animal, you sure seemed to lack survival instincts.

She just about lost her mind when you ended up being the one to bridge the gap between you two, despite her blatant fault. To her embarrassment, she even blushed and stuttered over her words in front of a coworker as she frantically rushed to greet you. How lovely.

- When she'd first met you, you were supposed to be a source of entertainment for her. Just one of the many moving parts that roamed the land of Inazuma, fit to pick up and play around with for as long as her heart desired. You weren't meant to make her hurt like this. You weren't supposed to have gained so much power over her that she found herself drowning in guilt for your sake. And you definitely shouldn't have walked right into her domain at the end of it all, smiling at her with that captivating allure of yours. Honestly... were you the one ensnared in the other's trap, or was she?

- Oh, great. Of course the other members of the shrine would start gossiping behind her back about this new vulnerability of hers the moment you two made up and got together. Go run along, dear. She has some... business to take care of.

- Eula -

- The two of you first met on a lazy summer's day, where your only mission was to find a cozy spot of land to nestle into. Yeah, sure, you kept being told to be more careful by everyone else (something about your bloodline being known for their clumsiness), but you simply didn't have the energy to move any longer. And so, you found yourself curling your way into a round lil ball right then and there. In doing so, you just so happened to unintentionally wind up as the sole audience to the infamous Eula's Dance of Sacrifice.

- Throughout your entire life, your panda nature has caused problems for you. Every single day brought some sort of new annoyance; maybe you'd sleep through an important event, or perhaps you'd wind up tripping and rolling down a flight of stairs... and then sleeping at the bottom. Turns out, though, that having such a laidback attitude made growing closer to Eula rather simple, seeing as you never paid any mind to the boring chatter others partook in regarding her past.

- It wasn't long before you two and your evergrowing special bond with one another became the talk of the town—a lesson you learned the hard way after watching your once-close friends nervously shy away from you in public. It wasn't all that bad, though. After all, now you had a lively partner at your side to passionately protect you against any potential mistreatment. Vengeance will be hers, just you wait!!!

- Cuddles. So many cuddles.

No matter what position the sun lands in, you're always tired and mere seconds away from another nap. And, well... why can't you understand how dangerous it is to fall asleep in random places?! Seriously, it's such a pain for her to constantly have to guard you. And look at you. And check that your heart's still beating via pressing up against you the entirety of your slumber, all the while resting her own eyes. It's just so she can hear your heartbeat better, obviously!

On a night where she happens to arrive home drunk, though... She doesn't even remember to try to make up excuses. Half the time, you aren't even sleeping; she just haphazardly yanks you from wherever you happen to be and plops you right into bed like an inanimate object. Sometimes, you can even make out slurred whispers of praise hitting your neck about how warm and cozy you are.

- She'll never let on, but having you here by her side and accepting her so willingly means the world to her. No, even more than that. In the act of devoting so much of your precious energy to her, you've managed to become the world itself in her eyes. Slowly but surely, she'll consider letting her guard down for you. Just don't make her regret it, or else you'll be the one she's exacting her revenge on.

- Shenhe -

- Her entire life has been a neverending struggle—not just with her emotions, but with the muted nature they so often wilt into. She yearns to love with bright, sparkly eyes brimming with passion and interest for the world around her. However, with her red ropes, that's merely a distant dream for her.

Still... If she can't have that unbridled joy to herself, why not help foster it within you, her squirrel S/O?

- Your habit of collecting various trinkets feels so foreign to her. Even as you excitedly wave around your newest find, blabbering nonstop about how this one's actually super rare and unique, her mind's struggling to really get it. What makes it so special to you? Why are you spending hours fawning over this specific item when she could've sworn you already had several of basically the same thing? It just doesn't click to her.

What does click, however, is the beautiful, beaming smile plastered all over your face. Not to mention, the way that the blacks of your beady eyes morph into adorable saucers each time you look over your collection. It never fails to warm her cold, dull little heart.

- When it comes to Shenhe forming new bonds, one of her greatest challenges is actually uh. You know. Going out in public and talking to people. It's a good thing you're so comfortable with the outdoors, even managing to survive just fine off of the various berries and other produce it provides. You don't even seem to judge her much for her own tastes. It's not like she particularly cared about others' opinions of her diet in the first place, but still.

- Her favorite pastime is simply watching you. It doesn't particularly matter what it is you're actually doing, just that it's you doing it. This can lead to her being surprisingly in tune with your mood and even going out of her way to cheer you up before you can even think to tell her what's wrong. In other words, you're going to be unintentionally Pavloved into expecting a fresh basket of your favorite treats every time you feel even the littlest bit down in the dumps.

- Like Eula, she becomes a total cuddle bug the second you're around to give her that opportunity. The main difference is that, in her case, she has zero shame. You WILL be scooped up at random just because you looked especially cute to her in that moment. Even if you're busy with something, she'll still feel the need to hold you in some fashion. Maybe a hug from behind this time, maybe plopping you straight into her lap the next. She doesn't have it in her to be picky.

- Even now, with the beautiful light in her life known as you, she often finds her heart frosting over into a dull nothingness. That's alright, though. As long as your radiant rays keep shining on her to thaw it back into a lukewarm state, maybe she can still be considered human.

Honestly if I'm ever in a fight with these gals at my side, I'm either very safe or EXTREMELY COOKED (Looking at the situations Arlecchino, Firefly/Kafka, Feixiao, Acheron and any GFL character usually find themselves in)

(Seele) "(Y/N), Get down, NOW!"

Seele blinks into existence, dashing in front and slashing apart the rogue machines with a single strike.

When it came to you or Bronya, Seele fought a little more recklessly than usual, prioritizing your safety over hers.

Which if you try to bring it up to her-

(Seele) "I-I'm making sure you aren't hurt, okay! Just say thanks or something! If you don't want me to be worried, than stay safe in the back!"

-Meaning she doesn't want you in harm's way, just in her usual Seele way.

She'll go red in the face at any concern for her, which she tries to ignore (and miserably fails at).

Safety Rating: Mostly safe, might get a scratch but that would lead to a tsundere rant as she softly bandages you up. Is that such a bad thing?

(Bronya) "Return to safety, (Y/N)! I will handle this!"

Slamming the butt of her rifle onto the floor before motioning forth, she elegantly commands the Silvermane Guards forth, not a single sign of hesitation in her eyes.

Which was to be expected, this was Bronya after all.

What wasn't was the small squadron immediately rushing in front of you, pushing you back as a small shield formation to protect any stray hits from the incoming fight.

Bronya will honestly fight better if you're away from it entirely. You can't get hurt if herself and an elite squad are here to protect you, right?

(Bronya) "Thank goodness you are unharmed...M-Me? This is but a scratch, it will not slow us down. But...thank you for your concern, dear."

She gently caresses your face, smiling before she regains her focus, soldiers immediately at the ready the moment her face changes.

Safety Rating: Imagine you have an entire platoon of Silvermane Captains bosses as your bodyguard + Bronya. I'd say you're pretty much untouchable, and if even if someone DID hit you, you have 8 counters going off.

(Serval) "Heh, NO YA DON'T!-"

Lightning strikes immediately crash down in front of the monsters trying to nip at your feet, shredding her guitar proudly.

Truth be told, she's kinda aura farming to impress you, but of course your safety is priority. The more serious the fight, the less lighthearted she is.

Depending on how hurt you are, her attitude changes dramatically, but if she's managed to get you out unscathed?-

(Serval) "Heh, that was a good performance, right? Hm? Nah, I'm-...A-Actually, I'm fatally wounded! If only I had someone so gorgeous and kind to bandage my wounds!-"

She has a hand to her head, dramatically falling onto your arms, while one arm clutched onto her guitar.

Safety Rating: As long as you don't ask Serval to solo Gepard or Cocolia or something, you're relatively safe.

(SAM) "Touch them, and you die."

Frankly, you didn't know if you should be terrified or blush furiously at how cool Firefly was.

Because on one hand, the IPC agents would probably be very confused at why a Stellaron Hunter would be like a giddy school-girl at such a line.

But on the other, you rarely hear Firefly like this, and it made your heart skip a beat knowing that your girlfriend would kick everyone's asses to make sure you're safe. Doubly so once you two are in a secure location and she's currently carrying you in her arms outside of her suit.

(Firefly) "(Y/N), you're not hurt, are you?!"

Safety Rating: Blushing, giggling kicking my feet back and forth-I mean you're 100% safe with Firefly.

(Kafka) "Now now, (Y/N) isn't yours to touch."

Frankly, if you didn't know Kafka was kind, you would've thought at this moment she was utterly terrifying as she slowly walked past you, drawing her weapons out.

And yeah, she still was absolutely scary, but damn she was really hot too. At least to you, you'd imagine.

Once she was effortlessly tearing everything in her away apart, she'd just shoot you a look over her shoulder.

(Kafka) "Well, coming?"

Kafka doesn't need to check up on you. She knows you're fine because she's here after all.

Safety Rating: Mommy, sorry, Mommy, sorry, Mommy-

Acheron doesn't even say anything, she just has a hand firmly on your shoulder as she steps forth, drawing her blade.

Which was a good sign to get your ass to the floor, lest you also want to get cut in half.

After a few seconds of Acheron obliterating everyone with a click of her sheathe, she calmly turned back to you, offering a hand.

(Acheron) "It should be safe now. I trust you're not hurt?"

You can see her hair returning back to normal, as the hand she offers you traces your palm like you were made of glass. Which to be fair, with how strong she was you might as well be.

Smiling at your form unharmed, she looks ahead, frowning all the while. You had to resist the urge to say she looked cute doing that, considering the circumstances.

Safety Rating: I weep for the departed...-

You won't even have a second to blink before everything from your perspective just violently explodes, a gust of wind blowing and Feixiao blinking like a light next to you.

She crosses her arms to you, confidently smirking.

(Feixiao) "Oops. Might've been too fast, wanted to show off to you a little.~"

Upon hearing your compliments and asking if she's okay, she crosses her arms and puffs out her chest proudly.

Maybe a little too proudly, but then again she was a general.

(Feixiao) "Course I am! Do you feel a scratch on you? Then that means we're both good!"

Safety Rating: You won't even have time to register you're in danger.

VIOLENCE

Shenhe first gets you to safety by extending her polearm, acting as a barrier from you and any perceived threat.

After a scuffle that looked more like a dust cloud to you, Shenhe emerges completely unharmed, nodding at you still standing.

Shenhe remains at your side, very closely to the point you almost keep walking into her. But after that fight, she's not risking you coming into harm.

Safety Rating: She'd probably mistake someone coming too fast at you as a threat. She's too good.

Clorinde's eyes narrow before swiftly pulling out her pistol, twirling as one arm shields you from harm and the crack of her gun rings out.

The entire time, Clorinde's arm is around you, gripping tightly as if shielding you from any incoming projectile. A grip you didn't entirely mind.

If she thinks there's too big a risk of you being hurt, she will not hesitate to let you go and push you to safety. But for now-

(Clorinde) "Stay close, S/O. I doubt that is all of them..."

Considering she was a bodyguard for several high ranking officials in Fontaine, including Furina? You have no doubt that your ass is safe with her.

Safety Rating: Why is my bodyguard so hot?

Arlecchino wasn't exactly the type of person you'd imagine any random schmuck would pick a fight with, and that's before even mentioning that she's a Fatui harbinger.

Regardless, Arlecchino's scythe immediately phases into her hand, hacking apart the idiot that even attempted to hit you.

She stares back at you, her eyes completely unphased.

(Arlecchino) "So much for a quiet walk."

If anything, you were more scared of any debris or parts hitting you in the face from her attacks than anything directly coming after you.

And while a part of you felt like you should be concerned for your girlfriend's safety.

...Yeah, after she split that Ruin Guard in half, you know she'll be fine.

Safety Rating: Daddy, sorry, Daddy, sorry, Daddy,-

Dehya's armored gauntlet pushes you back from her, as it ignites and fists clench.

(Dehya) "Back up!-"

With a single flaming punch, she drives her fist into an ambushing predator, sending them flying away and scurrying. Leaving her to turn around with a smirk, desert sun shining on her.

(Dehya) "Sorry, didn't hurt you, did I?"

She immediately laughs, seeing your jaw dropped in awe.

(Dehya) "Hellooo? Don't usually mind you looking at me like that, but I'm gonna need an answer. You not scorched?"

A small sigh of relief escapes her, once she checks you over herself and motions with her head to keep following.

Safety Rating: WHY IS MY MERCENARY SO HOT-

Candace's shield immediately comes flashing out, in front of you as her spear forms in her other hand.

(Candace) "Stay close to me, (Y/N). Things will get dangerous."

While she wasn't wrong, Candace effortlessly deflects any attacks meant for you while dispatching any attacker.

Once the threat is sufficiently dealt with, Candace's shield refuses to drop until she gets you back to the village.

And even then, she still checks you for any injuries before attending to herself.

(Candace) "You're unharmed. What a relief...!"

Safety Rating: Nothing is getting past that shield to you.

Sara was a general, so you had no doubt that anything could hit her and live to tell the tale for very long.

But on top of that, she swings out a single arm, her voice cutting through the ensuing chaos.

(Sara) "Get the non-combatants to safety!"

And by that, she means you, to which a group of Inazuman soldiers rush to escort you out, Sara meanwhile absolutely going to town on the attacking bandits.

Once it's all said and done, she smiles ever so briefly seeing that you're all right. But she has a job to do and reputation to uphold.

She can't linger on it long before issuing the next set of orders, but you know that you aren't too far from her mind.

Safety Rating: You're with the third scariest woman in Inazuma, you're very safe.

(Scarecrow) "We are pleased to meet you. Now die."

Her muffled voice doesn't portray any emotion, but the drone bits around her absolutely laser the hell out of the attacking dolls, and some float over to you to shoot down anything coming for you.

All the while, Scarecrow hasn't so much as glanced your direction, at least with her body.

The fact that her drones even registered your presence was honestly a little more than you were expecting.

Once the fight was over, Scarecrow blankly reports out:

(Scarecrow) "Targets eliminated. All squadmates remain intact."

She turns to you, blankly standing as you thank her.

(Scarecrow) "Thanks are not required. Humans should be protected."

She replies, completely deadpan, knowing fully well that you knew Sangvis T-Dolls hated humans, and disabled the limiter that prevented them from completely blasting them to pieces.

...Well, at least you knew Scarecrow was capable of jokes, though considering the context, you're not sure if this was one you should laugh at.

And you could swear that she was smirking underneath her mask, even though you knew she couldn't.

Safety Rating: I'm more scared of her than anything to be honest with you.

Lumine realized very early on in her relationship that she wasn't going to be around as much as she'd like.

Searching for your brother around the entire globe and meeting/fighting gods will tend to make you travel.

But she promised her S/O that she would be there when they most needed it.

A month after finishing up her travels in Inazuma, she returned home to see her S/O.

(Lumine) "Hellooooo!~"

(S/O) "Lumine!"

She was about to say something before almost being tackled by S/O, startling her.

(Lumine) "W-Woah!"

(S/O) "Thank goodness you're alright! I heard about the Vision Hunt and...and that you were in danger."

(Lumine) "Oh, that? Hah, that was nothing-"

(S/O) "Nothing?! You could've gotten hurt, or even worse!"

Lumine's smile quickly went away, realizing that jokes weren't going to make them relax.

Truth be told, if they knew just how close she danced with death on more than one occasion, she was sure their heart couldn't take it.

(Lumine) "Ah."

She hugged them back which got them to relax a little.

(Lumine) "I would've sent a letter at least but...ya know. But I'm here now, I'm sorry to have worried you like that."

She felt their grip tighten.

(S/O) "You didn't find him there either, did you?"

(S/O) "Then that means you have to go another country and...-"

She couldn't imagine how worried they were. And they were right, soon she'd be going to Sumeru, and who knows what's happening there?

Lumine snapped back to attention realizing Paimon was speaking to her.

The two were at Good Hunter in Mondstadt to pick up food before she started remembering her conversation with S/O two days ago.

Lumine sighed as she sat down at a table, looking at the ground.

(Paimon) "You and S/O both knew what it'd be like when you agreed to this!"

(Lumine) "I know. I just wish I could make them less anxious about it. Heck, I'm starting to become a little worried myself for them."

(Paimon) "Then how about we bring them a gift? Did we even grab a souvenir from Inazuma?"

Lumine looked at her backpack and pulled out various objects.

A Naku Weed, Sakura Blooms...Dendrobium?

(Paimon) "What the- did you stuff a beetle in there?!"

(Lumine) "Oh, the Onikabuto. I think it's dead..."

(Paimon) "These are all terrible gifts!"

Then an idea popped into her head.

An hour later, S/O heard the door open and Lumine's bubbly voice.

S/O walked out to find Lumine and Paimon with a box in front of them, holding something behind their hands.

(S/O) "What's going on?"

(Lumine) "I'm going to win your affection with a battle!"

S/O raised an eyebrow looking at Paimon.

(S/O) "...Uh-"

(Paimon) "No, not physically, with this!"

The two held out colorful purple beetles.

(Paimon) "Crimson Cyclone's Successor: Commander Bravestorm!"

(Lumine) "Why Commander?"

(Paimon) "Because he's going to lead all the beetles once its done kicking your butt!"

(Lumine) "Hmph, we'll see about that! Here's mine: The Mad Dog of Inazuma!"

(S/O) "...Why the dog-?"

(Lumine) "It's supposed to sound cool, just lemme have this."

S/O chuckled before shrugging.

(S/O) "I mean, I've never seen you show love via beetle fighting. Sure, kick her butt, sweetie."

(Lumine/Paimon) "Thanks!"

The two glared at each other before setting the beetles down.

S/O watched with a smile growing, which Lumine was thankful for.

(Lumine) "GET EM, MAD DOG!"

The beetle scurried over to Paimon's and locked horns with it, both struggling to gain the upper hand.

(Paimon) "SUPER PAIMON TORNADO!"

Lumine widened her eyes upon hearing the name while S/O raised an eyebrow.

(S/O) "Do they even respond to-"

Paimon's beetle began to gain the upper hand, pushing Lumine's back.

(S/O) "...Evidently, yes."

(Lumine) "No you don't! MAD DOG!"

Lumine's beetle suddenly backed off before striking again, the horn getting underneath Paimon's.

(Paimon) "WHAT?!"

(Lumine) "THIS BEETLE OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER!"

Lumine's beetle slowly began to make Paimon's lose its footing.

(Lumine) "IT'S LOUD ROAR TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU!"

Lumine began making wild hand gestures, one of which almost hit S/O.

While finding this to be a bit on the dramatic side, they were starting to laugh at how into this Lumine was getting.

(Lumine) "TAKE THIS! MY LOVE-"

Paimon's beetle rose up in the air from the horn pushing them up.

(Lumine) "-MY ANGER, AND ALL OF MY SORROW!"

(Paimon) "NO, IT CAN'T BE!"

(Lumine) "EEEERRRUPTING! BURNING!"

Lumine raised her fist to the air as her beetle swung upwards, shooting Paimon's into the air.

(Lumine)

"FIIINGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!"

Despite how dramatic the fight was, it flopped anticlimactically over to it's back, with no sound whatsoever made besides Paimon's cry and Lumine's cackling.

(Lumine) "Yes! This shows how much I love you!"

Though completely bewildered, S/O was now laughing.

(S/O) "Hah, you sure did honey."

Giving Lumine a kiss on the cheek, Paimon was left mourning her loss.

(Paimon) "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!"

(S/O) "You didn't have to go that overboard on acting to make me laugh, you know."

(Lumine) "...Acting?"

S/O looked at Lumine to make sure she was joking.

Based on her completely confused expression, she wasn't.

(S/O) "Thanks, Lumine."

Lumine smiled and leaned onto them.

(Lumine) "I'll fight everyone on this star for you."

(S/O) "Think you can fight the Archons with beetles?"

(Lumine) "..."

(S/O) "...Oh no don't tell me I just gave you an idea."

(Lumine) "Psh, come on! How impressionable do you think I am for you?"

A day later, Lumine fought Venti, Zhongli, and Ei with beetles.

Lumine was glad to see them smile and enjoy a fun, and admittedly dumb, moment together with her S/O.

Soon she'd have to go again, but for now they could be enjoying their time as a normal couple would.

A hilariously cursed image is funnily enough what inspired this post.

No idea why it led into something cute but oh well, the brainworms hit when they wish.

Before you even have time to finish chewing your first bite, Navia is already gesturing her hand to your mouth, ready to give you another piece of food.

(Navia) "Ooh! Try this one too, it's really good!"

You take a brief moment to swallow before sighing, though you couldn't fight back the smile growing across your lips either.

(Y/N) "Give me a second to appreciate the food you cooked first!-"

A giggle is Navia's first response before she promptly puts the bite-sized sandwich in your hand.

(Navia) "You can by eating it! Come on, tell me what you think!"

She had decided to cook herself for the two of you, offering to take a picnic and enjoy the sights outside the city.

You weren't terribly far from civilization should something happen, but it was still a breathtaking sight as you got to see the lush green hills and the waters of Fontaine surrounding you.

"The atmosphere is almost more important the the meal!" Is what your lovely girlfriend told you. Whether or not you agreed with that entirely was irrelevant.

You didn't need such a view to tell Navia that her cooking was delicious, but she insisted anyway. At the very least, getting some fresh air was appreciated. If anyone needed it anyway, it'd be her.

(Navia) "Well?"

Your girlfriend's voice snapped you out of your thoughts, finally prompting an answer for her.

(Y/N) "It tastes great! It'd taste even better if you weren't trying to shove sweets as I'm eating-"

She shut her eyes and playfully waved her fingers that were holding a macaroni.

(Navia) "I don't know what you're talking about.~"

The two of you laughed before going back to your meals, suddenly going quiet as you felt the gentle breeze blow. The grass and trees softly swayed as the moment passed.

The silence wasn't awkward, but at the same time you didn't feel the need to fill it with anything.

A sentiment shared by Navia as her smile was more gentle, staring at Fontaine with her hands still on her food.

You gave her a little nudge on the shoulder, causing her to look surprised as she turned to you.

(Y/N) "Everything alright?"

(Navia) "Mhm. Just...enjoying the moment, I suppose!"

(Y/N) "You deserve to enjoy your own cooking too. And...thank you for today as well. I'll be sure to cook you something good too."

Navia scooted closer to you, not yet taking a bite but moving her hand so it wouldn't get crumbs on your lap.

(Navia) "I have high standards, you know.~"

(Y/N) "I know, I wouldn't dare treat my darling to anything less."

The two of you laughed again, with Navia resting more of her weight against you as she leaned in, her hat blocking the sun's glare with its shadow.

(Navia) "As long as you're here...I don't really mind what we do or eat."

You put down your sandwich to gently caress the back of her hand, before kissing her cheek.

She quietly hummed at the affection, her bright blue eyes turning to you and giggling.

And with that answer, Navia gave you another kiss at the corner of your lips, her hair tickling you as it brushed against your face.

Not saying anything else, the two of you enjoyed the rest of lunch in a comfortable silence, leaning against one another and looking out into the city.

And on more than one occasion, stealing glances at one another.

Asta at first is taken off guard, flustered and stammering before she begins to laugh.

With a bright smile, she playfully shoves S/O away, failing to contain her giggle from the overbearing affection.

(Asta) "H-Hey! Hah, jeez, what's gotten into you all of a sudden?"

With the brief second of relief, her smile gets a little more mischievous before she goes in for a kiss herself.

Though the second kiss becomes more affectionate than playful, the two of them easing into an embrace.

S/O has engaged March 7th in a playful kissing war, and that is one they will absolutely not win.

March's laugh is bubbly, immediately counterattacking with her own barrage of kisses, both of them kissing each other all over the face except the lips.

In which March immediately begins to tickle them, her smile getting more devious by the minute.

(S/O) "N-No fair!"

(March 7th) "Hey, this is just self defense! HA, GOTCHA!-"

At some point, March sneaks in a picture of the two, S/O kissing near her eye with both their smiles brighter than the camera flash.

Firefly is flustered only for a brief moment before smiling into their kisses, wholeheartedly accepting their affection.

Though she giggles the entire time, the light kisses peppering her faces feeling more ticklish than anything.

Not that Firefly is complaining.

(Firefly) "Hah! S/O! W-Wait, it tickles!~"

Firefly kisses S/O back once they nuzzle into her neck after they finish, her face increasing in heat all the while.

It made her heart race, and brightened her entire week.

Kafka chuckles at S/O's kisses, not particularly stopping them as they continued.

When they seemingly stop, she decides to return the favor.

And right before she does, she reapplies some lipstick-

(Kafka) "Be a dear and sit still, will you S/O?"

By the time Kafka is finished, their hair is completely disheveled, clothes are wrinkled, and face is absolutely smothered in lipstick.

With a very amused Kafka sitting next to them.

(Kafka) "Dare I say, I think you look better.~"

Feixiao's ears twitch for a second as S/O smothers her in light kisses, to which she just laughs and leans into them.

As much as Feixiao wanted to activate her speed and see what happens if she kissed them, she wanted to enjoy this moment and take her time.

It'd be no fun if she was the only one having it, right?

(Feixiao) "Heh, my turn!-"

Feixiao's grip is both strong yet gentle, kissing S/O and leaving a little bite here and there to hear them laugh.

Silver Wolf closes one eye as she is suddenly attacked with a love bomb, making her blush somewhat more than usual.

As S/O is giving her affection, she simply sighs and gives them a single smooch back on the cheek.

(Silver Wolf) "That's all you get from me."

As S/O tries to lean back in, a singular finger intercepts them and she flicks them in the forehead.

(Silver Wolf) "Nope. You've used up your lovey-dovey tokens for today with that. Try again later."

Silver Wolf doesn't hate their affection, but it's a little distracting. Especially when she thinks about it later when she's playing.

Especially when they take off her glasses before she feels their loving pecks.

After a few seconds, the shock is replaced by giggles, being tickled more than anything by their kisses as her heartbeat still climbs higher.

(Sucrose) "S-S/O! Wait, give me a second-!"

Her soft laughter melts into a little hum, still unused to the burst of affection but certainly not complaining.

Sucrose leans further into their kisses, her ears twitching with each smooch they give her.

Still too shy to suddenly do something like this on her own, she'd never refuse a kiss attack, in private anyway.

If S/O does this same thing in public she will die.

But it still feels pleasant to Sucrose, if a bit foreign.

Affection isn't her strong suit to begin with, especially receiving it.

But for S/O? She thinks she could get used to it soon.

Jean at first freezes a little feeling S/O's kiss on her cheek, followed by several more.

But it doesn't take her long to laugh and immediately hold S/O close to her, taking the affection head on.

Jean's eyes close as her hands snake up to their back, breathing deeply feeling S/O's kisses.

After a few more seconds of having her face pecked, her hands gently hold S/O in place, not saying anything until they stop and get the hint.

Her eyes are half lidded when they open up again, her thumb gently brushing the side of their forehead before giving them a single, passionate kiss on the lips.

Pulling back, Jean smiles and slowly pushes S/O back.

(Jean) "S/O, I'll give you some attention when I'm finished. I promise."

(S/O) "Come on, no one walks into your office at this time!"

Firefly is not really prone to jealousy, at least not easily.

If her S/O is talking to someone of the opposite gender, then she doesn't particularly care too much. She trusts them after all!

However, if the person they're talking to doesn't really get the hint, she'll step in and gently grab their hand.

(Firefly) "S/O? Who's this?"

She'll ask in a gentle and curious voice, but enough to establish they're taken.

However, failing that, she'll just politely excuse herself and S/O, moving away from said person regardless if they're not done speaking.

(Firefly) "Jeez, how can someone be that dense...?"

Firefly pouts a little at S/O's laughter, but ends up smiling alongside them the moment they press their lips against her forehead.

She's going to get annoyed if people flirt with her S/O, but she won't get that intensely angry unless they try getting handsy.

But, if it's someone she does know, like the Trailblazer intentionally trying to get on her nerves?

She is going to pick them up by the collar and toss them across the room.

Barring Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade, of course, but still.

Keep annoying her S/O, and the possessive side of Firefly will come out.

S/O can hear her heartbeat quicken while resting, with Jean adjusting her position so they can both be comfortable.

Jean loves doing the same with her head on them usually, but she does not hesitate if it means S/O can relax after a long day.

Her hand intertwines with theirs as she lets it sit on her lap, idly brushing the back of their hand with her thumb.

Sometimes, she falls asleep herself, feeling the comfortable weight on her chest slowly rise up and down.

Shenhe uses the times when S/O cuddles onto her to meditate and regain her train of thought.

Even when deep in thought, she does not neglect them, making sure she has a near death grip on their waist, ensuring they were safe.

Admittedly, Shenhe is a bit awkward in this position since she hardly moves at all, remaining completely still.

But S/O can tell by the way her heartbeat beats ever so quicker that she enjoys their presence.

Every now and then, S/O can see Shenhe stare at S/O, with her lips forming a small smile.

Navia hugs S/O like a stuffed animal, nearly smothering them with her chest as she feels their spine bend inwards.

After the crushing hug, Navia hums to herself as she thinks what to make later while S/O feels her chipper tune vibrate her chest in tune.

Depending on her mood, she'll either playfully tease S/O by poking them on the nose, or silently hold them close with both her arms.

But more often than not, S/O is a makeshift plush, and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Navia sometimes pinches their cheek just so she can watch them pout.

(Ei) "You do not need to ask permission to do so. Please, feel free."

Ei had missed this feeling dearly. To have someone close and remind her that everything is alright, at least for the moment.

Ei's gaze and smile grows softer with every second that passes, her hands gently brushing against their hair.

She does not say anything, simply enjoying the silence and the feeling of a loved one within arm's length.

Occasionally, she will kiss them on the top of their head, brushing their hair with her hand.

But Ei is content to have her arm wrap around their waist and hold them tightly.

The moment Jean learns that her S/O had been kidnapped for ransom, her senses become so hyper focused and immediately sets off to alert the Knights of an abduction.

She wastes absolutely no time in tracking S/O, and does so easily with her and the others searching.

Her adrenaline kicks into overdrive, and she does not rest until S/O is safe inside Mondstadt walls, ignoring any injury sustained and insisting that she can keep going.

For only a brief moment, Jean loses control and doesn't even warn warn the kidnappers or attempt an arrest, immediately using her Vision to blow them back.

The sight of her S/O is enough to get her to snap back to her senses, and promptly make the offenders pay for their crimes by sending them to the jails.

With a sigh of relief, Jean feels the exhaustion on her body start to take its toll, but she smiles as she unties them.

(Jean) "Thank goodness you're alright. Let's get you home."

She gives her S/O the tightest hug of their life, and has one arm locked around them the entire journey back.

Eula absolutely loses it the moment she learned that someone of the Lawrence clan has kidnapped her S/O.

This was the exact reason she did not want them associated with her-

No. Now was not the time for such thoughts. Now was the time for vengeance.

Being the Captain of the Reconnaissance company, she doesn't have any difficulty in locating their whereabouts.

As much as Eula would like to make sure the Lawrence in question never take another step, she knows it'd be far worse for them to be alive and imprisoned by the Knights of Favonius.

With a swing of her claymore, she instantly puts down the attacker in an ambush and cuffs them. Her gaze turns to her lover before releasing them, brushing a strand of hair from her eyes.

(Eula) "Hmph, how careless of you to be captured by another Lawrence. Next time, you will not be so lucky."

By the way her hand was shaking and how close she remained at their side, they could easily see past her words and how worried she was about them.

VIOLENCE

Unlike most people in Mondstadt, her idea of justice is if the person never takes another breath again.

The person kidnapping S/O more than likely had no idea that she was even associated with them. That was their first mistake.

Their last mistake was assuming they would get away with it alive.

Rosaria stalks the kidnapper to where her S/O is being kept.

For the moment, they were unconscious.

Which worked for her.

Dropping down from the shadows, she quietly but violently dispatches of the kidnapper, taking extra care to not make a mess on S/O.

She unties them before carrying them in her arms out of harm's way, not making a comment until they woke up.

(Rosaria) "Good, you're awake. I'm glad you're okay, but be more careful next time."

Rosaria's grip tightens on them before gently setting them back down if they could walk.

Ei on the inside is scared for their safety, but she knows that panicking will not make things better.

Instead, she goes out to rescue them personally while alerting the soldiers at her command to ensure no one escapes.

And to add extra insurance, she sends out the Shogun to find S/O as well, and to exterminate any offender with extreme prejudice.

The skies darkened and lightning split apart the clouds, striking at the entrance of the abandoned base.

The last thing S/O's kidnappers saw was a woman in purple, staring down at them with a katana held in her hand.

I AM THE STORM THAT IS APPROOOAAAAACHING

There was literally nothing left of the kidnappers to arrest or bury, so Ei casually walked up to S/O before untying their restraints.

(Ei) "I am glad to see you unharmed. Do you require any medical assistance?"

For the next month, Ei and the Shogun personally accompany S/O to wherever they needed to go.

Ensuring that if anyone was stupid enough to try it again, they got to see what they would be up against.

EXTREME VIOLENCE

The red ropes on Shenhe is barely enough to contain the rage that swells within her at this very moment.

Someone dared to kidnap someone as loving and sweet as her S/O?

Thanks to them and the Traveler, she tries not to use violence as the answer to all her problems.

For this particular situation, Shenhe decides that violence will solve the problem that is the kidnapper's continued existence.

The very second she found out their location, she begins ripping and tearing through anything and anyone in the vicinity that she deemed was responsible.

The treasure hoarders that kidnapped them? Turned to ribbons.

The wooden doors trying to conceal them? In splinters.

That one Hilichurl sitting near the cliff minding its own business and not even realizing what was happening? It's now at the bottom of that cliff. (And if Shenhe didn't do it, you would've, you monster.)

Shenhe is absolutely stained red the moment she frees her S/O, her rage slowly subsiding at the sight of her lover.

(Shenhe) "I am here to rescue you, S/O."

Shenhe is almost super glued to their side from then on, never wanting to let them get hurt ever again.

And Archons help anyone who tried to again.

Yelan figured something like this would happen. Her enemies would try to kidnap her S/O as a form of revenge or luring her out.

Unfortunately for them, Yelan had a contingency plan if something like this ever happened.

Informants are able to pinpoint the exact location S/O was being held with relative ease.

She infiltrates the building and without warning, her strings immediately sweep the kidnappers off their feet and left them dangling in the air.

(Yelan) "Not so fun when you're tied up, is it?"

Ignoring their shouting, she walks over to S/O and gives them a smile.

(Yelan) "Sorry for the wait. Dinner on me?"

She seems casual about the situation, but when they're out of earshot of everyone, she gives them a firm but gentle hug.

Yelan was no stranger to losing people she cared about, but she was glad she did not have to re-experience the feeling today.

(Navia) *LOADS UMBRELLA WITH MALICIOUS INTENT*

Oh, perfect! Looks like S/O's kidnappers just volunteered themselves to be target practice!

Navia charges headfirst to wherever S/O is being held, not really worrying about the collateral damage other than S/O themselves.

Her bodyguards were able to find them quickly, and joined her in their rescue.

Navia lets all guns fly, making sure these punks would be taught a lesson they'd never forget.

NO ONE touches her darling, except for her!

When Navia finally gets S/O out, she has them in a near bone crushing hug, kissing them repeatedly on the face, being a bit too playful considering the situation.

But in private, she nearly breaks down crying as her hug on S/O tightens.

She was so afraid that they'd get hurt, or worse.

But she's thanking the gods above that they were unharmed.

The aftermath of the situation, Navia and her guards are almost stalking S/O. For their safety, of course.

Even though sometimes that safety has to be all three of them hiding behind a bush very conspicuously, even after S/O's insistence that they were fine.

Sadly, this was not Lumine's first experience with a close person to her being kidnapped. Probably wasn't going to be the last either.

While she is worried for their safety, she has no doubt that they're going to get them out fine.

Lumine blitzes into the domain they're being held in and clears out everyone in her way with nearly blinding speed.

No one has a chance to even react as she effortlessly takes out every single attacker, making her way to them.

Finally after knocking out their kidnapper, she has the guards who she informed the kidnapping about make their arrests as she personally attends to S/O.

(Lumine) "You're not hurt are you?" sigh "Good. Come on, let's go home."

Lumine holds S/O's arm the entire time as they get enough distance from town, remaining silent.

She couldn't find her brother, and she didn't want to lose S/O as well.

Brightening up the mood a bit, Paimon appeared behind them.

(Paimon) "Why don't we have S/O stay with us at the Teapot for a while?"

Lumine makes it mandatory for S/O to sleep in the bedroom with her, and has Tubby or Paimon usually keeping an eye on them so she has some peace of mind.
