“Ugh -- I had so much chocolate during my travels that the thought of a brownie makes my stomach do flips. I’m alright, finally getting over the jetlag!”

“We have the same parts, Sophie. Why bother trying to cover up?” Letting out a chuckle, Emma pushed herself up on the couch. “Not what it looks like, huh? I’d love to hear the story, then.”

Her heart warmed at the news. “Good. The cliffs was always one of my favorite places, it’s so gorgeous.” Ellery hummed at the memories. It had been so long, yet it felt like yesterday. “Did you drink a lot in my honor?”
“It was outstanding! I remember you telling me about it once and the minute the wind went through my hair and you saw the waves underneath you, it was just -- wow, El! It was gorgeous,” the blonde couldn’t help but get flustered all over again at the idea of the island before letting herself snap back to reality. “Of course --- I can’t go to your hometown and not drink for you!”

“It was rough there, for a while. I’m just glad things got back on the right track.” To this day, Ellery still spoke only briefly about the war and the terrible things she’d seen as a child. Most of the time, it was to Emma when she did. “Where all did you go see?”
“It looks amazing there, El. Which is why I think you should pay a visit when you’re prepared for it,” the younger woman said with a bright smile on her face, talking to Ellery had always been something that Emma enjoyed -- mostly due to the fact that the two both had a love for different cultures and travelling. “Most of the tourist attractions, so I went to the Guinness Storehouse, Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher and I went to the Dublin Zoo.”

“That’s so amazing! I’m so glad you liked it, tiny.” Ellery was grinning from ear-to-ear. Even though Emma was far from tiny, she’d always remember Emma and Jonah as little babies that she told stories of her grand adventures to.
“It was amazing! My --- goodness, I thought the stories were just you making them all fun when we were children but I finally managed to save up enough to go for a few weeks and I didn’t want to leave!” The younger woman smiled brightly before taking in a deep breath. “I’ll definitely bring you with me next time.”
“Oh --- oh no! No I just got back in town, I went to Ireland. I definitely recommend it!”

It’s nice to be able to directly speak to fans and thank them for their support. The only time that it can get tricky is when they are unkind or say things that may not be so easy to say if they weren’t behind a computer. Bullying is never ok. I personally have only experienced it very infrequently so overall I enjoy Twitter and Instagram but I’m definitely aware of it.
