The power of black lives matter has grown in the past few years as it’s garnered attention through social media. It’s an important campaign that wages the war against violence and systematic racism and oppression of black people in America. The campaign began almost 6 years ago and has been going strong ever since. It brings light to the fact that the African-American community still has a long road ahead of them when it comes to equality, being treated fairly in America, and dismantling systematic racism.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quoted being said “My choice isn’t what I breathe in, it’s what I exhale...and right now, in this moment, I feel a need for all of us to breathe fire.”

People take cues from the environment. Mimosas in a sun-dappled atrium suggest one kind of mood; grain alcohol in a moldy basement suggests another.
