“Mm. Actually I don’t recommend. It’s… kinda annoying.” He mulls over as if he was uttering a foreign word and trying to understand its meaning. He still has a problem relating to his own emotions. “You don’t get to keep anything.” He says placidly. He puffs out his cheeks and exhales. “Drunk me appreciates your concern.” He slurs retreating to his typical grin. He hums an odd tune under the breath, a hymn of some sort he remembers from the monastery. “Kinda.” He frowns wrinkling his nose. “Ey, I’m good. I’m good. You’re good.” He pats her on the head laughing lightheartedly. “Welp, let’s see. I’ve been practicing… practice, sleep, meditate, practice. Yeah, that’s pretty much it. I’m pretty but bland.” He walks ahead of her, turns on his heel to step backward and face her. “How’ve you been? Except taking care of a drunk.”
“But if you’re all ‘zen and stuff’ how can it be annoying?” the girl genuinely asked, noticing the contradiction there. Though it was probably not a logical thing to discuss life philosophies with an usually detached but now druk bender. “Keep anything? What do you mean?” Emmeline asked after detecting a mild change in his voice. He sounded tranquil enough, and maybe it was her imagination, but there was a hint of resignation in his voice. Rafael sounded like he was used to it. The witch smiled to his friend, glad that the earthbender was merely drunk and not under the influence while also having the effects of a personality altering brew. She had it easy in the ‘look after your drunk friend’ department compared to what he had to deal with on April 1st. “That’s a lovely tune” she pointed out, the musician in her taking notice of the hummed melody. Em laughed along with him as he patted her head, but she ended up squatting his hand away in a playful manner. They walked without a specific route, merely wandering around the gardesn. “Well, I’ve also been caught in a routine. Studying. Composing. Sleeping. Eating. I’m a perfectly monotone graduate student” the brunette admitted with a chuckle. “Damn, we’re boring. We should do something to change that”.
