This is just so frustrating to read and I hate whenever I see articles about it.

7 Years Ago Today, This 4-Part $1.1 Billion Franchise Ended Far Too Early

I'm still not over it.

First of all, I get that Warner Bros didn't wanted to make another sequel and all, but like, the only lego movie that went bad (but not too bad) was movie 2 and Ninjago (possible). Yet, is just so unsettling how they decided to cancel the possibility of a third movie JUST because one of them "flopped" according to the office box. Yeah, they had the rights to not continue, BUT NO JUST A LITTLE FAIL OF EXPECTATION MADE THEM ABANDON THE WHOLE PROJECT.

Also, there's this part that kills my brain I cannot process what I read:

"If WB had been a bit more patient with the series and let it grow a bit more, I feel like it would've regained its footing and become a cornerstone brand partnership in the 2020s. Instead, The LEGO Movie 2 ended the series too soon, and while it was still delivering strong results."

So, basically, you're saying that we could've got a third movie IF WARNER BROS WAITED JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE???

Lego Movie 2 // Gen question.... why would anyone want to ship selfcest (ex ; vestcest) and in my personal opinion, it makes NO sense. Even if the two weren't the same person.... it would be insanely toxic and I do NOT agree or support that. Its one thing for Rex to directly say he hates Emmet. Its another where they are indeed THE SAME PERSON.

I have points to share so hemhem.

Emmet has stated that he would want to be a brother figure towards Rex. Personally I believe the two would prefer the title even if Rex didn't like Emmet. The two clearly view eachother In a platonic way, especially Emmet since its clear as day as he has a crush on wyldstyle/Lucy. Now besides canon events, they just fit the caption "brothers" then DATING. I imagine if Rex would to find out about this, he would be disgusted. He HATES Emmet. Emmet would be so confused and scared. He would say something likeee "but he's me.."

Its a actual fully toxic abusive relationship. Rex manipulates Emmet and states multiple times he hates him. AND Rex in general doesn't care about Emmet at all. He used Emmet to get his revenge. He never cared about Emmet ONCE. Personally do not support abuser x victim. So please if you support or even ship it, DNI respectfully.
