saw someone criticizing the transfem werewolf metaphor and comparing it to how zootopia (badly) sets up predator vs prey as a race analogy and i feel like i should clarify

the transfem werewolf metaphor works because people assume werewolves will be predators to humans, when in reality, real wolves are just. not really all that dangerous to people

and yeah you could argue that a lot of werewolf mythology involves them being violent but thats part of the metaphor! how many people do you think got their impression of trans women absolutely ruined by someone telling a story of some trans girl and calling her a child predator or a big scary man in the woman’s bathroom? because it’s quite a few!

the metaphor works because, much like werewolves, there’s really no reason to assume that trans women are dangerous to anyone else except what people (who have had their fear weaponized) say about them

BDSM gets a bad rep as like a violent (male) dom pushing the boundaries of a reluctant (female) sub but in my experience it's a lot of subs with wildly elaborate fantasies screaming shit like "PUT MY ASS IN THE CHILI" while a new dom is like "Okay I think, we are reaching yellow for me,"

I know this is a silly post but on a serious note, BDSM is often just as likely to cross boundaries of doms as those of subs. And doms often end up needing aftercare too, for things they okay'ed in the moment. And not necessarily for silly reasons. Some doms get so into giving the sub what they want in the moment, that they end up afterwards being troubled by thoughts like: "I did THAT to my sub!?!?!" And yes, subs can pressure doms to do things they're not comfortable with. It happens. And it's important to know and protect yourself if you are a Dom.

this is a thing i saw on tiktok and it's been bothering me forever and ever. okay yeah you took bad decisions/hurted people/etc. but that doesn't mean that you're destinated to hurt people or to be a bad person forever and ever. perhaps at the moment you thought what you were doing was good. perhaps you were trying to protect yourself. perhaps you just didn't know any better. perhaps you thought that it wouldn't be that bad. whatever thing you've might've done on the past doesn't define you in any sort of way. you are a human being and you will do a lot of mistakes until you die. putting yourself down won't help on anything. others putting you down doesn't mean anything. don't let your mistakes be something that defines you, but let them be a reminder that you're still here and that you can grow as a person.
