SJ quirked a brow at the sound of the fact of the woman before her being a reviewer of her book, having often read the different critique that she received to see if she could improve her writing at all. She had to admit, the first book had not been her best work considering she had only written it when she was 17, but she had definitely improved since. âAh, well, itâs a pleasure to meet you as well. I hope you enjoyed it.â
Emery let out a soft laugh. âI believe I called it bloated, dragging, and over-hyped, if I recall correctly. No offence, I did like the second one better.â At the very least, Emery was honest about her opinions. She wasnât going to sugarcoat, especially if this woman took it upon herself to look up the review later. âEmery, by the way.â She offered her hand to the woman, small smile on her face as she, hopefully, brushed past the awkward moment between them. After all, she had practically insulted this womanâs work. âYou have a time table for when the new one will be hitting the shelves? Obviously not any time soon if youâre still writing it.âÂ
