The world of social media is a great way to communicate with other people. It might be a good thing, but all the fun stuff has a negative side.

Body shaming is one of today's social media issues. Social media with a toxic side of putting down others for not getting the "ideal body" and humiliating others was never all right. The poster is intended to raise awareness to discourage this kind of activity online because it affects people. It needs to be stopped and learn to realize that all forms of body are perfect and beautiful.

Reflection in MIL

For the first two months in our subject Media and Information Literacy, there are many things it taught me.

Learning this subject is very interesting even though at first I thought MIL is a hard subject but when our teacher discussed the lessons it wasn't that hard at all and I can catch up with it.

This subject widened my knowledge about information and media, from what it is, its types, how it evolved, and many more. It was like, media.. then BoOm MEDIA. It taught me the do and don'ts when using the media and also to know if the source of a information is reliable.

For the next quarter I will continue to do my best and I'm looking forward to our next lessons hoping to learn more.

In the lessons, Media and Information Sources and Languages which we discussed what are Indigenous media and it was the native way or traditional way of gaining knowledge. I also learned the types of codes and how these codes create the meaning and emotion of the information.

Information Literacy

& Types of Media

Information, we needed information in our daily lives as it gives us knowledge and helps us learn new things. I understand Information Literacy is the ability for us to analyze, find, and use information effectively. It is an important thing in learning new information and it let us know if this information is needed and if it's legit or right. By this ability we can share the reliable information that we gained to other people.

In gaining information we can access it to different types of media such as the print media, broadcast media and the Internet. This day most of us use the internet to find information

In our topic, Evolution of Media, it made me think that our generation is lucky to have these new technologies and it made our lives easier. As the world aged, the media that we use are improving.

We started painting the walls of the cave and using clay tablets as a media before the year the 1700s, thinking about how it was made I feel it is so tough. Then people can now make copies with the use of machinery in the Industrial Age, where the birth of newspapers and more. Next in the Electronic Age is where the radio, television, and early computer are made, we can now have long-distance communication. Lastly, in the year the 2000s, New Information Age is where we can now wear gadgets and have easy access to information with the help of the Internet.

These media throughout the year help us, people, to send and receive information that we need. I'm amazed by all of it on how the media evolved.

Beep boop beep... hello hello

I understand Media are the communication networks or devices used to store and deliver data or information. It keep us people informed with the different events around the world, the media plays a very important role. It's also the best platform for mass audience communication.

We exchange information and feelings that by communicating and it can be in a verbal or non-verbal way. Communication have a process it start from the Sender—Message—Channel—Receiver.

That is what media literacy is all about.

Hello, I'm Emster :D

I may look like a child but I'm already 18. I think it's because of my height (142 cm). Lol

I love to draw while listening to music, mostly rock music. I usually spend my free time watching youtube videos.

Quite shy at first but I think I'm a fun person. :)
