since im super normal and sane about matt, i have a pinterest board dedicated to clothing he canonically wears and owns in my mind. @wartankhorse encouraged me to post this, so i will.

i think matt really enjoys thrifting his clothing, regardless of whether or not he can afford it otherwise. he also loves the shitty cheap t-shirts with stupid slogans on them. he owns a lot of those.

i'm a supporter of the stoner matt headcanon, so i think he'd definitely buy weed related clothing and accessories (his apartment is also the most stonercore apartment you've ever seen. weed isn't even legal in california when he's there. mister jeevas what are you doing)

he also owns a bunch of nerdy clothing, specifically relating to comics and gaming / tech

he owns a BUNCH of other striped stuff (aside from his red and black canon longsleeve) in various different colours. he buys a lot of clothes that are similar to ones he already has. he's a creature of habit

obviously he owns a ton of band t-shirts too, quite a few sublime ones because sublime is his favourite, but a bunch of other bands too

in terms of pants, he's a cargo shorts guy. i feel it in my soul.

and he's a funky socks guy too!!! he owns some regular pairs too, but always struggles to find them. his socks are barely ever matching, he doesn't care enough to pair them after he does laundry so he just grabs two socks from his drawer and puts them on

a lot of the fandom wouldn't claim mello is a femboy if he just had short hair. i love fem mello as much as the next person but seriously claiming an otherwise masc presenting man (especially after the explosion) is a femboy at the sight of 'feminine' clothes and long hair is not subversive at all and is lowkey a product of subscribing to rigid gender norms but i don't want to get stoned today. let a guy wear his crop tops. mellogender ideology is more sophisticated than the first glance.
