The Getaway closing in 2021 was what had changed her life. And with the rocky relationship she was moving on from, she now had plenty of time to spend to focus on herself and have some fun at the end of the summer. A few drinks and relaxing in the hot tub would do that to a girl. She and Lizzie ended up having a hot fling as a result of a few too many margaritas and the end of summer vibes. It was unexpected for both of them, but both girls agreed that the feelings were real, and that turned into them exchanging rings four months later, and didn’t tell anyone until after their honeymoon, touring the wine countries of western Europe. In the spring of 2022, they left Bayview for Los Angeles to settle down before deciding to start their own wine company up north in Napa, Em & Liz. In 2025, they adopted their first child, Avery, followed by Eleanor in 2029. Of course, there are always a few cute furry pups running around the house. Emily is still acting, while successfully running the business with Lizzie and raising their family together. And she’s never been happier.

Wining and dining is always a way to anyone’s heart. Not really sure, feel like we were just in the thick of spring and suddenly it’s the end of summer and we’re all gearing up for those big changes of fall. Not to mention all the Halloween things we’re already seeing in stores. So what do you think, are you up for another day of having some fun out at the Getaway. Get in those last few hours of fun. 

I like the way you think! And that is just too fast for my liking. But it also means spooky season is upon us, and we’ve got sweater weather for cuddling and changing colors of the leaves. Thank you for amusing me with my pool antics, Lizzie. You really are a sweet one. How about sinking down in the hot tub for the last of the night? With a couple more drinks, of course.

And it makes you feel better about how much money you spent on it, or how much work someone put into creating it for you. Because at least this way, it’s going to someone else who is going to appreciate it and get to look beautiful that night, right? Seems like a great idea to me! I approve. I think so, too. Rompers, overalls, jumpsuits, all of those are coming back around and popular again, and no complaints. I couldn’t agree more, I don’t even want to tell you how much I’ve had to drink so far, but that’s okay! Because you know I’m going to come find you for more!

Yeah! Someone else who will probably get more use out of it! Like it’s getting a second chance at life. They’re all so cute, I agree. I’ll admit, I jumped back on the trend and they are fun to wear, casual and a definite throwback but still keeping it fresh? Ha! Girl, you and me are always set for a drink. That’s just the rule here that we’re going to go with. Especially since we’re wrapping up summer and we’ll have to put away the big beach hats until next year. But that’s only an excuse for us to make the most out of it.

It does! And what we put back for not being trendy might someday end up making someone else a total fashionista, and then they’ll be grateful we donated and we’ll be grateful that we helped them out. Oh yeah, and they’re so comfortable, too? I wore overalls quite a bit when I was pregnant! I think so, too, everyone deserves their time to shine, I refuse to believe anything else. And hey, we get to use suits all over again at the Getaway this weekend, right?! I’m going to wear a different suit every day, just to soak up the last bit of summer.

I think that might be the coolest part, where someone else gets to use it for something later. So they’ll end up looking awesome! I think I still have plenty I can do that with, you know? Clean out the closet and send it off to a good cause. Ahh, yes!! I think overalls have become timeless. Rompers are a big thing now too, aren’t they? Yes we do! I’m excited, I’m going to break out the big floppy sunhat too, the whole deal. So ready. It’s going to be a good one to close out the summer. Meet me by the pool for a drink?

Which is probably the best part. I’d always rather know that the clothes are going to be put to good use than see them hanging in the closet, collecting dust for years. Or getting eaten by moths! Me too, it’s the absolute unique look that a lot of girls are looking for, I bet. No one can say they had the same dress for prom, that way! He absolutely is, it’s like once they hit a certain stage, it’s just one big step forward after the next, but I kind of love it. And we even have a specific event for roasting marshmallows, basically, how good is that?! Although I am excited to do some swimming today!

Put it to good use by giving it to someone else, I am 100% for that! Sometimes we put stuff away because it’s not trendy anymore, but fashion always finds its way back around, doesn’t it? Like overalls... those are a big thing now too. I love to think about that, because everyone deserves to feel like a star, don’t we? It’s going to be fun, though, he’s a fun kid. Which is probably the highlight of it all, marshmallows are sticky and delicious and fun. I got to use my suit again in the lake!

Hey lady! It has been awhile hasn’t it? Probably too long, which is absolutely my fault. I’m horrible at keeping in touch sometimes. I’ve been good though, been enjoying what’s left of summer! How about you? Goes by too fast doesn’t it? Wandavision comes right for your heart doesn’t it? Honestly not too much! Been kind of relaxing, enjoying having some down time. I’m out roasting marshmallows right now, why don’t you come join? 

Don’t worry, we’ll make up for it. Maybe some wining and dining? Gosh, how the heck has summer gone by so quickly? I feel like school just got out yesterday and now all I see are back-to-school and dorm sales! It truly does, I think I’m a bit obsessed, honestly. Also loved the throwbacks to the classic sitcoms. Adorable. That was a lot of fun! Toasty marshmallows are delicious. Paired with beer and campfire songs is a party.

Donating is such a good way to go when it comes to things like that! Even red carpet dresses can be used for something else. What you wore to a premiere once could be someone’s prom dress! Which is kind of fun to think about. He really is, I wish that he would slow down a little bit, but he doesn’t seem to agree with me on that being a good idea! We’ll figure it out before we leave. If he’s not up for it, that’s what the sitter is for! And thankfully, he loves him. Absolutely, you know that I have time for you no matter what we’re doing.

And honestly, it’s pretty fulfilling because even when we are moving from certain pieces in our closet... someone else can use them too! Okay, see I love the idea of a red carpet dress becoming a prom dress. That’s just awesome--because it’ll feel super special! He’s an active little guy, isn’t he? Well, he’ll fit in very well with his Auntie Em because I’m still a flower child as my friends like to remind me. Yes! Haha. Of course, also if there are dogs around, I’m right there. Roasting marshmallows over the campfire and telling spooky stories? I’m your girl.

Given how expensive clothes are these days, I don’t understand why anyone would only want to wear something once, anyway. What’s the point in that? Get the most out of it, always! He really is, I can’t believe it – you have to come over soon to hang out with him, let him teach you all about how to walk and show you how good he is at it. And then giggle a little when he topples over because he tries to run too fast. I am! I’m going, I’m not sure if we’re taking the kiddos along – like James in the wilderness with no electricity seems like a bad idea, but also maybe kind of fun? – but I know some combination of us will be there. We should pitch our tents kinda close.

See you get me! I don’t know why, either. Isn’t that just... wasteful? I mean there might be some pieces I can’t get much wear of, but I like to give those to my friends or donate to a second-hand shop or something. Gosh, the little man is growing up so fast. Oh my god, that’s adorable. He’s definitely got a lot of spunk and spirit. That... is a good point. Hmm, well we are in Green Acres. So it could be a fun adventure, but I get you. Babies need... you need their stuff so they’ll be comfy. We should! Give me all the Claire time I can get.

Me too! I don’t spend money on clothes unless I love them, so why would I only want to wear them once and never again? Unless they get ruined or have super important memories attached to them, wear them as often as you like, and fashion rules be damned, basically! Well, I can confirm that now that he is a year old and up on his feet and walking, he is one happy birthday boy! So you better he ready for that one. Oh my gosh, I’m so glad to hear that she loves it! It’s like you’re creating a little mini-me, which is honestly perfect, I love it! It’s tough, because I love vacation and could live here forever… but also really miss my dogs. So I know when the plane touches down, I’ll be happy.

Yep! Otherwise, what’s the point? It’ll just end up going to the back of the closet and be forgotten... But then if I absolutely love it, I’ll keep wearing it for a loooong time. Oh my god, precious little angel. Tell me about it, Ophelia nearly leapt on me when I picked her up at the doggie hotel. She stayed on my lap as I binge-watched some reruns. Are you going to the camping trip, though? At least I can bring Ophie with me and she won’t pout at me.
