I just want to yell so many good things about Britney Spears. Look at this parenting right here; rather than just twist their arms and tell theĀ āsmile or no McFlurry on the drive homeā sheās checking if her little boys are comfortable with the cameras and attention and if not, no problem baby boy, you go chill. And I have no problem with her staying to get more pictures, especially not when her other adorable kid wants to. Ā I mean, itās her job up to a point. And we all know for a fact she probably watched the film with both the little bugs in her lap anyway.Ā

people can say what they want about her supposed meltdown, but frankly, that entireĀ āepisodeā always made perfect sense to me. she and i are of an age, and no matter how young or old i was, i always understood perfectly why she did it, and thought it was utter bullshit that a court could order what they did, instead of reprimanding the many, many people that felt so entitled to her that they drove her to extremes just to get 5 seconds of peace.
and now seeing this kind of thing? she has just gotten more awesome.
i remember reading how she got herself a tutor so she could help her kids with their homework. not got THEM a tutor, but she got herself one because she wanted to be the one helping them. thatās a+++ parenting right there ok?

She got a court order because she was, by her own admission, raising her kids like her mother raised her. The judge sent her to therapy and parenting classes to work out all of the horrible stage-mother bullshit she had to live through. I mean, she thought it was normal to give her kids cough syrup and whiskey so theyād sleep, because itās what her mother gave her to knock her out when she got rowdy.
I think Britney is a great role model for adult abused children and is living proof that you are not trapped in the cycle of abuse.

This situation happened because the sea lion was habituated to people and brave enough to start looking for food to steal (my best guess is the edge of the kidās dress looked like the paper wrapping on a sandwich). Donāt fuck with the wildlife, because it fucks up the life of the wildlife.Ā

This is why honey is not vegan.
The problem here is that honey, especially if you buy it ethically from an apiarist, isnāt actually detrimental to the well-being of the bee or the hive. In the wild, honey is used as a food stock, but in a domesticated honeybee colony, the bees are fed quite well, and so the honey is a surplus.
The alternatives, like sugar, relies on monocrops in third world countries, with transient labour. Growing up, there was a sugarcane field by my house, and Iām sure the Haitian men who worked backbreaking hours hacking a machete through knife-bladed leaves in 40 degree heat for a couple dollars a day would have traded a testicle to be a Canadian honeybee. Steviaās going the same way, iirc.
Additionally, apiarists are actually huge proponents and activists for sustainable bee-keeping, and itās estimated that the domesticated hive may be the last great hope for declining populations, because we can optimize their chances for survival.
Itās their lifeās work, sure, but itās not the death of them to use it responsibly.

Keep that home warm in the winter
Keep the bees well fed, negating the need for honey, which the bees would make anyways
Still do not take all the honey, just in case
Protect the bees from predators
Monitor the hives for any signs of the parasites, diseases, etc. that cause colony collapse disorder
Their bees-
Provide a valuable and reliable source of pollination for plants in the area, both wild and crops
Help keep the local ecosystem healthy
Honey-
Is one of the healthiest things you can eat
Is able to keep for a EXTREMELY long time (Millennia even), making it more valuable than many perishable foods without being full of preservatives
Can be used to soothe sore throats, nauseau, etc.
Has been eaten by humans since at least Ancient Egypt (Weāve found STILL EDIBLE honey in tombs)
Is a great tool in cooking, adding sweetness without raising the sugar content much
Is a staple food in many peopleās diets
Honey is amazing you can put it on or in pretty much everything I goddamn love it and you should too.
Honey is also a natural antimicrobial that has been used medicinally since time out of mind on external wounds like edible neosporin.
