Exclusive: Analysis offers ‘smoking gun evidence’ that overturns previous assumption that bronze age individual was male
"The Upton Lovell Shaman, a bronze age individual who has been depicted in museum exhibits as a bearded spiritual leader and metalworker, was female, an ancient DNA analysis has revealed.
The 4,000-year-old skeleton, along with the extensive collection of stone axes, metalworking tools and the remains of an elaborate ceremonial cloak found in the grave, is viewed as among the most significant bronze age burials in Britain.
The artefacts date to about 1,800BC, a time when the ability of metalworkers to transform lumps of rock into molten metal would have given them a special – possibly even spiritual – position in society. Such roles, many had assumed, would have been reserved for men, but this narrative has been turned on its head by the latest analysis."

politicians will name their proposals "the act to defend freedom and justice by the honesty coalition of friendship" and the contents will be a comprehensive plan on how the state should spike the tap water with giardia and start guillotining elderly golden retrievers in public
Can anyone explain wtf is going on here especially a Korean speaker
someone on reddit explained 😭
That is one of the most astronomical fuck up translations I have ever seen.
"I can't believe humans would hunt the thylacine to extinction, humans are fundamentally evil" Hey, did you know that extinction was long thought to be impossible, and within 50 years of humans realizing that extinction via overhunting was a possibility it practically stopped happening? Did you know that humans are so desperate to prevent more losses that they're funneling millions of collective hours and billions of euros into helping other species? Hours and euros that could be spent on humans, and species on whom humanity's own survival does not depend? Did you know that due to an accidental introduction of rats, the Lord Howe Island stick insect population was brought down to 24 individuals and now there are tens of thousands of them?
This bug. This bug that, to most humans, is utterly useless, relatively gross, and completely foreign. Humans saved it because humans do not want to cause another extinction ever again if they can avoid it.
a friend of mine has a decently sized personal bar and one night he realized that a lot of his bottles and mixers were close to empty, not enough to make any given drink with, so he mixed them all together and it looked like the dirty water from those big floor scrubber machines. Dark purpley brown and thick and he decided it was the Floor Scrubber cocktail and actually drank it. It apparently tasted very bland.
A collection of similarly interesting/disgusting drinks from the notes

I thought the same thing too.
There are 2 cardinal laws at play in Road to Empress
The first is dead wife always wins. You can never ever defeat dead wife, because she is dead and cannot be defeated.
The second is all roads lead to soup. even if you aren't the one drinking it, soup is involved, and you will perish at the hands of soup.
