It’s still off putting. She makes it seem like the world doesn’t respect us because of Howe we feel about ourselves. That’s false. Even when we’re minding our business and being happy the world has shit to say about it. If you’re going on luxury outings you’re hurting the black community. If you’re wearing weave you hate yourself. If you’re confident with your body sexually you’ve set black women back. If you’re fat and joyful you’re a white pandering mammy. We can’t win for losing even in our own “community.”

From someone from a broken home it makes alot of sense... people cared about me because of my appeal however as I got older much more is expected from me and figuring that out in mid 20s this statement makes sense
