In prisons, this means trans women are to be forcibly assigned to male prisons with male cellmates, something that in the past has led to astronomical rates of sexual violence, often encouraged by prison authorities, or placed in solitary confinement, a practice whose long term usage is often equated to torture.

So the next time someone yaps about single sex spaces, remind them that what they are saying is that trans women in bad situations should be homeless or sexually assaulted.
