{ How odd... 'Lancelot' was used to seeing those who resembled his own appearance without armour, and to bear his real name also, but he wouldn't jump to conclusion. This one resembled himself too much, it was rather spooky. }
"... One assumes that thou is from this 'other zone' once more. Thou resembles myself far too much however. May I have thy name?"
What does Mephiles look like, thy Lancelot?

Unfortunately, I haven't really changed the appearance of Mephiles for this zone. He looks scary enough, hahahaha! But to make up for lack of creativity, have a doodle of Mephiles that I'm not really going to finish.
In case you can't tell, I don't really draw Mephiles that much, hahaha. ))
Mephiles was wary, his eyes following the blade. “Lancelot? I will call you as such. I ‘ask’ these questions, because I have not met you before.” His eyes wandered from the blade back to Shadow. “Do you really think I am stupid? If I wanted you dead, you never would have made it within a ten foot radius of me.” He crossed his arms over his chest, his expression still tense. “If anything…I am confused. Where am I? This world is odd to say the least.” To even be attacked upon arrival, Mephiles was at a loss.
“And judging by the way you attacked me on sight…I would take it you have met an Alternate of mine. I assure you though, I am no threat to you unless you attack me…”
{ Anger boiled in the young hedgehog's blood, but yet he withdrew. His defensive stance did not change, making it apparent that he was still wary, but he no longer held his sword to the other being. He was too merciful... How was 'Lancelot' supposed to deliver the final blow to Galahad and Mephiles in his own zone when he could hardly hold a sword to an alternate? He was still a child. He swallowed hard. }
"... Thee of my world destroyed the kingdom I live him. He took the lives of many, including my family. He cast this kingdom into darkness, ruined the once beautiful fields and gardens that ran through this land. And still he wanders... His minions take the lives of the innocent. Thou must understand why one is wary of you."
"Thee is in the kingdom of Marmore. And thou must not underestimate me."

Knuckles blinked. This was definitely an alternate. Shadow never spoke like that. At least, not that he had heard.
“I believe you have mistaken me for someone else,” Knuckles replied, scratching his head. “I don’t know anyone named Gwaine. Nor do I own armor…” the echidna trailed off, not knowing what to say next.
"Hmph."
{ Another of this 'other zone'. Why did they take on the appearances of those close to him and those that he needed around? The young Knight pulled his helmet down over his eyes once more, hiding the emotion and life that his eyes held. He felt no need to reveal his true self here. }
"Forgive me. Thy name must be Knuckles, correct? There is one of my world who shares your appearance, I mistook yourself for him."
His eyes lowered again, but only for a moment, as they shot right back up when he heard he name Shadow. So he was right! This must have been some crazy zone to have things like knights. Those were things Ray had only read about in books. By the sounds of things, and evil Mephiles alternate had found his way to this zone.
“Um… it’s alright… I’ve never met a knight before… in my zone, people like you only exist in stories… I think.”
An eyebrow was definitely raised now. A being of the underworld? Ray? Something told him this Shadow wasn’t playing with a full set of marbles. Or did he take the whole brother thing literally? The squirrel shook his head, letting his hands fall to his side.
“No… in my zone, some people actually call me an angel because of my powers, even though I’m just a normal person. Mephiles isn’t my brother by blood, but we love each other as if we were family.”
"Thee does not have knights? How art thy kingdom's protected?"
{ This way have seemed like a fairytale story book to Ray, but for 'Lancelot' the reality of his situation was very harsh, and far from story book worthy. A soft sigh escaped his lips, and he relaxed his posture. Setting his father's heavy swords aside to allow his muscles to receive the rest they needed. }
"An angel? One does not believe in such petty ideals of angels any more."
"But thee speaks of powers? Much like magic?"

Sonic took notice of the other hedgehog’s kind eyes, and felt more at ease. His own eyes reflected a lot of faith and trust. “A knight?”
Wow, what kind of zone am I in?
“Heh…good to know. I’m actually pretty good at fighting myself, but uh…I’d rather not deal with anything from the underworld.” He let out a nervous chuckle.
“My name’s Sonic, but a lot of people call me Snowy,” the albino answered with a friendly smile, “Your name is Shadow, right?”
"Snowy?"
"... Thou holds a very pure name."
{ Pure as snow. As cliché as that may have sounded to the white hedgehog, it was meaningful to 'Lancelot'. It was very rare to see snow in this kingdom, even before Mephiles' invasion. He only held one memory of snow, one of when he was at a very tender age.
His bottom lip quivered as those memories ran through his mind, gentle eyes finding the ground. }
"... Yes, my name is Shadow. One does prefer to go by the name 'Lancelot', but I see now harm in allowing thee to know of one's true identity."

(( Oh my, apologizes. I ended up nodding off last night without a word. I owe quite a few replies that I shall hop on to now! ♥ ))
Had he been wrong? It looked like Shadow… even sounded like Shadow, but it wasn’t Shadow? The squirrel bowed his head, an apologetic expression on his face. He returned the cupcake to his pocket, placing his hands behind his back.
“I’m sorry… you look a lot like this guy I know named Shadow. I guess I mistook you for him, b-but I won’t make that mistake again! I… don’t know what kind of zone this is… I’ve never seen anyone wearing anything like that before.” A tilt of the head. “Um… Mephiles is my brother… why?”
{ Brother? But this young squirrel didn't appear as if he was from the under worlds. If he was one of another zone and other zone's had Mephiles' involved with them too, perhaps 'Lancelot' could use this opportunity to gather some information on his opponent. He would need to be truthful to do this however.
Curses.
The knight lifted his helmet to reveal his gentle eyes, lifting the stone cold knight façade that covered the young boy and all his emotions that any boy of his age would have. }
"Forgive me, young one, for I have deceived thee. One has great reason too, which one will explain if thee needs."
"My name is Shadow, I am the son of the knight that once took the alias 'Lancelot' in this kingdom. Upon his death, due to Mephiles' invasion, I took his sword and name in order to fight for the light to return to this land."
"Thee is the brother of Mephiles? Tell me, young one. Is thou a being from the under worlds in thy 'other zone'?"
A Shadow! Now how rare was that? Ray was determined to keep this one from running away. He put on his brightest smile, placing his hands behind his back, figuring it was better… not to question the strange attire.
“Hello, you’re name is Shadow, right? I’m Ray! Um… it’s nice to meet you!” Then came the nervousness, and hand fidgeting. “I haven’t met many Shadows… b-but I promise I’m not crazy or anything! I don’t know why they always run away from me!” He blinked a few times at his own statement, pulling a cupcake out of his jacket in desperation and offering it to the armored hedgehog. “Want a cupcake? Mephiles made them just an hour or so ago…”
"Nay. My name is Lancelot, one would ask of why thee would assume that name, but one has come to the understanding of these 'other zone'. I trust that thee is from one, am I correct?"
{ Oh no, this simply would not do. 'Lancelot' dislike this. He couldn't have others running around, spreading the name that he hid behind his armour. Not here. Not now. No one could know of what happened to him, it could endanger those close to him back in his own village. If Mephiles' knights knew of... Hang on, this child just stated Mephiles' name.
Brushing aside that foul looking object that the squirrel holded out to the young knight, 'Lancelot's' eyes narrowed behind his helmet. That name almost sent chills down his spine. }
"What is thy connection to Mephiles?"
Awkward Head cannon time for Mephiles(even though he's not important): He doesn't use 'thee' and 'thy' or whatever like most people. He's more of a 'nope fuck you I'll say it how I want' guy while Galahad stares like he's crazy.
(( People are making headcanons for my zone now? Oh my goodness!! I'm sorry I haven't been around but I'm so flattered!!
When it comes to Galahad and Mephiles, I haven't really into their relationship as of yet! I don't really state this in the story I have written up, but Galahad/Silver was a knight in training a long with Shadow, Blaze and Knuckles. His father was also a knight of the kingdom and yes, he did go down with the kingdom when Mephiles started the invasion. Silver's family were killed by Mephiles personally as he lived in castle town, and Silver did plead for his own life saying that he would do whatever just as long as he was allowed to live. Mephiles took that, and granted Silver his powers(psychokinesis) and told Silver to basically work for him. If he did, he would get a piece of the land that he over throws and there would be no more senseless killing, just a utopia under Silver's command. Of course, Mephiles was lying(sort of) as Silver isn't going to get a utopia, and the killing won't stop. But he takes the bait, obviously, takes the alias 'Galahad' that his father had as a knight and works for Mephiles.
Their relationship though.... Hmm... I think of it more in my head as Mephiles being rather calm and calculative(much like Lancelot but with more knowledge and of course, he uses that for his evil deeds) whilst Galahad is rather power mad, which causes him to over look many things and be rather impatient. In other words, it probably be the opposite to your headcanon there, friend! Sorry! ;;
I imagine that Mephiles would be the type to speak properly whilst Galahad is all 'fuck it all! I'll do what I want, when I want!'
But I'm still so flattered you came up with headcanons for my zone oh my goodness! If you have anymore, do send them in! ♥ ))

18.When was the last time you smiled?
"Possibly before the death of my father and Mephiles' invasion..."
{ Had it really been that long since Lancelot allowed a smile to cross his lips? He had allowed smirk now and then, but that was far from a genuine smile. He believed his emotions needed to be kept as cold as stone, show nothing but bravery and courage.... Just like his father.
Before said invasion, 'Lancelot' had been known for his gentle eyes and kind smile. Although his fur colour and harsh eye ridges, he had been raised to be a compassionate boy. Friendly and loving to all. He still held that caring nature, however it was hidden behind steel plates and harsh reality of what he had to do in order to restore this kingdom. }

"The return of the light to this kingdom and the first harvest after it's return."

A most peculiar sight this was. Knuckles wasn’t sure if Shadow was pulling a trick on him, or this was just an alternate. He raised an eyebrow, regarding the hedgehog before him. “Hello— erm…” He wasn’t sure what he was supposed to address him as, so he just awkwardly cleared his throat and continued. “Is there something you need?”
"Good evening, sir Gwaine."
"One would suggest not making a habit of venturing without thy armour and swords, thee should understand how dangerous these times are."
{ 'Lancelot' knew 'Gwaine' was far from the brightest spark that ever shined, and so he was not surprised by his forgetfulness and strange questions. However, 'Lancelot' forgot to consider once more that this may be another from the 'other zone' and he was the one making a fool of himself once more. }
Shadow gave a small chuckle as he unfolded his arms and held a hand out to the fellow alternate. He did not have to say it. Shadow used to express the same amount of confusion many times before. ”Well you do not have to be that formal either. It is only natural to be confused by the whole thing. I am not sure how any of it works myself. All I know is that there is some way for various zones and the people within them to meet up with each other. In other words, you and I are not of the same world. You look a little different from the other alternates. Tell me, who are you exactly?”
{ 'Lancelot's' ears flicked at the speed, raising his helmet to reveal the emotion he usually kept hidden. Although his lips did not curl into a smile, his eyes showed somewhat relief and a sense of comfort as they softed once 'Lancelot' took the hand of his alternate and gave it a gentle shake. }
"I go by the name Lancelot, I am a knight of this kingdom."
"Would thy name happen to be Shadow?"
{ The information 'Lancelot' handed over may not exactly be true, but he would rather keep his fathers alias and title rather than go by his true identity. After all, it was rather difficult to be taken serious as one who is attempting to save the kingdom when your title is 'Shadow, knight in training for three years without pass.' }

{ As much as 'Lancelot' told himself this could be another from the 'other zone', he could not help but be wary of this being. He refrained from drawing his father's sword to attempt to take down this woman to the best of his abilities, and instead he simply narrowed his eyes. Sticking with that snide comment. }
