i need people on twitter to people to stop perceiving my man tenzin. “he wanted air bender children so he got with a non-bender to ensure that” tenzin wasn’t out there doing punnett squares calculating the probability of his kids being airbenders, he just wanted a family. while he probably felt some pressure by society to produce airbenders, i sure as hell know aang and katara made sure that he knew having a family was his choice and he was under no obligation to have children.

it’s still funny to me how people believe(d) that sokka was the father of suyin.

1.) lin and tenzin canonically dated and were heavily involved with each other. it’s confirmed kanto is lin’s dad so she has no relation to tenzin but if sokka was su’s father she would be dating her half-sister’s blood cousin. while not technically incest (i don’t think?), i wholeheartedly believe toph would not be cool with that and put a stop to their romance before it could even develop.

2.) it was acknowledged that toph had a crush on sokka once as a 12yo.

3.) sokka would never ditched suki to pursue toph, especially because he only saw toph as a little sister.
