DIVERGENCES. cracks knuckles ok not even technically divergences so much as reminders ig (especially bc later seasons of tvd + the originals lost the plot abt this sometimes??) but klaus is THE BIG BAD. he is the worst! your muse cannot, should not mouth off to him unless we plot out some reason they won't get hurt or die bc he does NOTTT fuck around hewwo? he is also the victim of some pretty serious abuse way back in the day that has ultimately led to HIM being an abuser of his siblings himself tbh so their relationships are immensely complex. he is manipulative, he is sadistic, he torments people just for the hell of it, call it some self-soothing rituals <3 that's not to say he doesn't have good in him somewhere... deep down... rly deep down! but like... do you actually want to get close and try to find it?

MOTIVATIONS. fear. he wants power (and right now? that means unleashing his inner wolf & breaking that curse, let's go), he wants authority, he wants to maintain control, all because at his core klaus is afraid of having anything less, of being vulnerable and hurt and isolated, of being cast back into the role of victim. the majority of his actions and paranoia stem from this. (notable soft spot: his siblings. under it all, if they were truly thrown into harm's way? he'd do and risk a lot to prevent their deaths.)

DIVERGENCES. dean is my pookie bear and largely kept the same outside of what i've illustrated a bit in his app: greater emphasis on his faith (or there lack of) and especially on his sexuality. more specifically the fact that he is very much a closeted bisexual man, even in spite of the culture of toxic masculinity he and his brother no doubt grew up in, and which helped fuel dean's case of internalized homophobia. rip. ykw while we're here lemme point out that he is also the victim of parentified eldest child syndrome and parental neglect (plus imo at least emotional abuse from john?), let's be honest, and pretty gruff + rough around the edges regardless of what his occasional charm or quick wit might otherwise suggest. that's not even touching on the extreme co-dependence he exhibits with his brother or the intense self-loathing or self-objectification from being raised to essentially be a caretaker and daddy's little soldier lol?? all in all he's a pretty heavy character underneath it all so heads up!!

MOTIVATIONS. saving people, hunting things... the family business, you know? but above all else, his biggest key motivation, the weight resting at the very core of his entire being: sam winchester. his brother is his everything and he will sell any of u bitches out if it means keeping him safe. sorry abt it.

DIVERGENCES. you may know him by the name of stefan salvatore from the source material, but for my interpretation he hails from a turkish family and is called sefa soylemez. don't come for me bc i ship everything, but i do find it makes the most sense for sefa's character to lean heavily on the origin story; namely his dormant obsession with his maker, katherine pierce, the reason for all his pain and self-loathing and ripper name even all these decades later. sefa believes himself to have washed his hands clean of her, but he does also orbit around the girl who shares her face... that sounds like he's totally over her, right? please also note that sefa is very much an addict where blood is concerned.

MOTIVATIONS. cleansing himself from his past sins as much as he possibly can, as well as keeping his new friends or loved ones safe from his brother's more chaotic impulses + the supernatural threats in town in general.

CONNECTIONS. hunters surprised by his willingness to work alongside them and protect the vulnerable, maybe? friends he's made in town who do or don't realize what he is? people from his past who knew him when he was at his worst... gimme.

DIVERGENCES. obviously he's escaped prison world much sooner in thanks to one specific bloody instance of a sleepwalking episode by bonnie bennett, sorry 'bout it! i also don't shy away from the mental health consequences of kai's upbringing and the trauma that absolutely stemmed from it. he bounces frequently back and forth between pretending he's the unfeeling killer he was raised to be versus being the unloved broken kid he's always been. remember: he's the product of pretty horrific abuse at the hands of a cult and he's a psychotic child murderer; these things can in fact co-exist.

MOTIVATIONS. short-term, he wants to stretch his legs, obtain as much power as he can, corrupt or influence all the "good" witches in town in order to 1) attain more allies and 2) prove that they're all just as sinful or monstrous as he, the siphoner, the untouchable. long-term? destroy everything that's left of the parkers and anything even remotely attached to that shithole of a coven.

CONNECTIONS. he'll primarily be seeking out your witches, but anyone pure of heart is potentially in the line of fire in regards to kai's willingness to set their lives ablaze. potential enemies who'll want him dead PLS interact. potential demons or villains ESPECIALLY pls interact for a good chaotic time (if you can stomach aligning yourself with... his insufferable personality.)
