My tech oligarch impersonation
Hello, dear reader.
I will be taking some time off to focus on recovering from several ongoing medical issues that I've been putting off for too long. Unfortunately, it's quite difficult to navigate a meaningful recovery while constantly monitoring this wildly dark moment we find ourselves in.
Today's Stuff Keeps Happening is newsletter-only, but that is always free, so you can check it out here: https://www.skh.news/is-he-still-dead/
I cannot say for certain how long I'll be on break. My goal is to get to a place where I am truly ready to get back to everything at full capacity. I'll be working with several medical professionals to tackle a handful of unrelated problems, each of which is gonna be it's own timescale. So, I hope to be back soon, but I know that pushing it will only extend how long it'll take.
Of course, taking a break is at the expense of my channel's Algorithm Numbers, which always makes these decisions difficult. Content algorithms reward consistency more than basically anything, so taking a break means I both miss out on viewership and losing favor with algorithms for whenever I return. Fun! It's not.
But I know for many of you, you'll be here when I get back, and for that I thank you dearly. I will likely be quieter on most fronts, including Bluesky and Mastodon, but not silent. I don't think I'd be capable of fully shutting up anyway.
As always, if you would like to help chip in to support my continued work, my Patreon, Ko-fi, YouTube memberships, or optional paid newsletter subscriptions are great ways to directly help this all keep going. You can find links to everything at https://isupport.dev
Take care, be well, and I'll see you as soon as I'm able and ready.
~ Dev
In today's episode of Stuff Keeps Happening, we've mapped out a global network of underground fungus because we got bored I guess. Also, massive Microsoft and Xbox employee layoffs, a curious move from Hamas, and looks like war is back on the menu—if it ever left, that is.

Hello, dear viewer. Today it's a bit of a different video as I've got some unfortunate (but not THAT bad!) news to share regarding my face.
Thank you so much for the support. It means the world to me. I hope there will be minimal disruption to my content schedule, but I'll of course take what time I need.
Welcome back to my Satisfactory let's play! Today, we make our way back to the future site of our computer factory in order to exterminate a pest. But what will we find when we get there? Surely, everything will go well.
In today's episode of Stuff Keeps Happening, we take a break from some of the cosmic horrors we deal with every day and instead look at some Actually Pretty Good stuff happening around the world, including major progress on combating cervical cancer, a resurgence of mangrove forests, the one kinda okay SCOTUS ruling, and successful unionization efforts in the tech sector.

In today's episode of Stuff Keeps Happening, we look at the Prairieland 19, eight of whom recently received sentences totaling 450 years in prison, wildly exceeding any reasonable expectations, norms, or averages for far harsher crimes. This is a part of the Trump Administration's ongoing efforts to chill dissenting speech by routinely claiming there exists an organized leftist organization called "Antifa" which is funding protests across the country. This gives them pretense to label protestors as terrorists and hit them with prison sentences so absurd that other people will be afraid to speak out.
And so, we're gonna not stop speaking out.
Also in this episode: a heist of gold bars from the government, betting market advertisement shenanigans, and an update on whatever we can call the ceasefire at this point.

Welcome back to my Satisfactory let's play! Today, we upgrade to the new Satisfactory 1.2, which adds new building options, vehicle updates, dynamic weather, and more.
More importantly, we get real oily and explore the Oil-Yon Spectrum before encountering our first anti-computer-factory protestor.
In today's episode of Stuff Keeps Happening, we take a look at three different groups given cool nicknames due to their absurd prosecution at the hands of their own governments. Also, an update on the peace signing between the US and Iran, and some side-eye for Ubisoft (always merited)

I'm excited to say that Stuff Keeps Happening will return tomorrow at its usual schedule. To celebrate, here is a still from tomorrow's episode announcing my brand new online masterclass.
There's been news of a peace deal signing between the US and Iran to hopefully end this disaster of a war. In this video, I talk about what's in the current deal, where we go from here, and my thoughts on how we got here.
Thanks for the support, hoping to get back to my normal schedule in the next few weeks

Content schedule note (ope)
I had myself a bit of an accident yesterday and injured myself pretty good. I'm going to take that as a sign from the universe that I am overdue for a break.
I'll be skipping my normal content schedule this week, but reserve the right to post something if/when I get bored out of my mind from sitting around with my leg elevated.
If you'd like to chip in and help make it more sustainable for me to be able to take a break when I hurt myself by accident (not infrequent), you could grab an optional paid subscription at https://skh.news (not a substack!)
There's other places you can chip in at https://iSupport.dev, and as always, sharing my channel to folks who might resonate with it is one of the best ways to help me out.
Take care, be well, and I'll see you next week.
Mikie Sherrill will no longer be receiving the coveted "still has the background of their photo intact" status in next week's SKH episode
she broke the literal one rule I have which is "don't actively impede protestors at a concentration camp where the hunger striking detainees are being abused"
(I probably have more rules than that but that’s the one I’ve got on file here 📝)

In today's episode of Stuff Keeps Happening, we dive in to the oceans to find the true meaning of love from our good friends the Humpback Whales. Also, the United States is continuing their gleeful violations of human rights and trans rights (which are, in fact, human rights). Also, layoffs. Like, lots. Like, a lot a lot.
