Having had rabbits for most of my life and knowing how loving, smart, and fragile they are really is a double edged sword. Almost all “cute funny rabbit compilation” videos has at least one video that shows a rabbit being abused, terrorised, or kept in conditions that would be seen as torture by the general public if it was a cat or dog. But noooo rabbits are stupid rodents who live for a year or two who are all too stupid to care if they have their whole life confined to a cage so small that they can’t move properly!

Anyways this is my baby Sötnos who passed away in 2021 at almost 11 years old. She was rescued from the meat industry and was the sweetest animal I have ever met. She didn’t get along with other rabbits, instead seeming to prefer the company of humans more. She loved napping on my chest and would both purr and snore when she did. Rabbits have such vastly different personalities and quirks to them. I have never had two rabbits that were even close to the same. I wish they were seen in the same way as dogs and cats are. That their wellbeing was just as high of a priority.
