Andi watched as he choked and bit her lip to keep from laughing, that look on his face was quite amusing to her but she should have expected that. "We'd never know til we tried right? We have my parents to help us with anything we're doing wrong." TIlting her head, she shrugged. "Course, we can wait, I shouldn't have just put it out like that."

"See, that logic works for like, a hobby, a craft, fuck maybe even a pet. But a kid? You can't just try it and change your mind. Once you make a person, you've fucking made them." His mind wandered to his own disappointment of a father before Eddie caught himself in the act. No no no, definitely not going down that road. The thoughts are forced out of his head violently, successfully cast out (for the time being). Back to the matter at hand... "How bad are you wanting a kid, Andi? You can't just drop that on a guy and move on like nothing happened." His brow furrowed ever so slightly as he regarded her, trying to imagine what they'd be like with a kid or two running around. For all his creativity and strong imagination, Eddie was drawing a blank. And that made him nervous.

Rainbow always liked to see the good in people anyway, it was easier to do that then expect someone to be different. She would just carry on assuming his brother was the one who made him get into trouble until she saw him do it himself firsthand. As long as he kept looking at her the same way he was, like he adored her, even if there were bad parts to him, she would just overlook them. It was nice to be looked at and, more importantly, seen. "It's a little much but coming from you? Sounds better since I'm kind of figuring that this is you. You're like a teddy bear that uses very strong words to get his point across. I'm happy I met you too, I like how you make me feel."

Rainbow's too good for him, Matias has known that since he met her. The fact that she's still indulging him, wasting any time on him at all... yeah, he's lucky as fuck, he knows it. Matias planned on doing everything in his power to make sure she's well taken care of, that this isn't totally unbalanced. She deserved a good guy, at least, so he'd give her one. Even if it meant he got teased from his twin brother. "Yeah, sure, I'm cool with being a teddy bear so long as I'm your teddy bear. No one else gets to snuggle." He laughed at himself, feeling a bit silly but rocking with it anyway. "The point is to make you feel good, so least I'm doing that right. If I'm ever doing a shit job, please tell me. Let me fix it before I just lose you, okay?"

She adored the trio of siblings; if she didn't, then she wouldn't have adopted them as her own family but she was convinced that these little pesky feelings that popped up were just because she was lonely and RIcky was giving her all the attention she craved but wasn't getting from someone else. It didn't help that he knew what she liked by this point, either. "You are extremely confident in yourself. Does anyone tell you that?" Turning so she was facing him, she put her hand on his cheek, smiling a bit. "I think I better get home before I actually get drunk." RIght now, she was pleasantly buzzed and hoped to stay that way for a while longer. "You can walk me outside but you're not getting a kiss."

"Oh yeah, I get that all the time, sugar," Ricky replied easily, totally leaning into the bit now. Normally he wouldn't talk to Darya like any other woman but this was purely for shits and giggles. He knew there was no chance in hell she'd ever actually give him a try. Their age gap tended to be a source of contention, which Ricky kind of understood. That didn't mean he couldn't still playfully shoot his shot, have some fun with her. Making her smile would be enough for him - which, yeah, mission successful already. "What's wrong with being drunk? Do you not trust yourself around me when you're not sober? That's hot, babe." Despite his words, Ricky planned on keeping it clean and walking her out like she said. Hell, he'd probably even call her an uber and wait with her for it. He gently took hold of her arm so as not to lose her in the commotion (and maybe to signal to other dudes that she wasn't interested, thank you very much). "There's no chance I could convince you to continue the party back at home?"

Internally, Hay was definitely freaking out. Werewolves existed. She was involved with one. That made her question everything she knew growing up about things, always thinking they were imaginary. "Wait, so they survived too and…are like you? Do they live in the woods too? Sorry, I'm trying really hard to organize my thoughts right now," she laughed, wrapping her arms around her. "Well, I'm happy that you don't eat people - major plus to accepting this." Which is what she was doing, slowly but she was accepting of him because of the man he was. Now she felt like she was going to have to know this other side of him too in whatever way she could. "Oh, you can…oh," she blinked. She really wasn't sure she wanted to see that at any point. "What's it like? The changing thing."

He appreciated that she was really trying for him. She wouldn't be asking questions if she didn't care about him or believe him. Not even the sound of her laughter is enough to derail this, it's going well. "Yes, he's alive and afflicted same as me. No, he doesn't live in isolation the way I do. He's actually well integrated in society - you'd never know about the beast inside. Please don't apologize, you're doing great. I'll take all your thoughts as they come, without any judgment." Then it's his turn to laugh, just a little chuckle because it's quite adorable watching her adjust to it all in real time. "It's certainly not comfortable, that's for sure... Honestly it's a painful process, especially the involuntary moon shifts. When I choose it it's less violent, but with a change like that, it's got consequences no matter what. The exhaustion after is something else... you've made comments about it before. Think back a couple weeks, our dinner date, when you asked me at least four times if I was okay because of how beat I looked." He laughed again, even gentler this time. It's kinda nice to be able to share this with someone, Forrest hadn't anticipated how much weight it would take off his chest. // @blumhouses

As much as she loved freedom and the thought of doing anything she wanted, when she wanted, Sammy had become an attorney for a reason and that reason was to help people that were getting fucked over by the bigger corporations trying to get them to sell their land. "You should come with me sometime. Riding I mean, not the naked thing - can't see you doing that part unless there's something about you that I don't know and you're this secret free spirit."

"Why doesn't that surprise me? You might just be the hardest worker I've ever seen. It's really admirable, I respect the crap out of you, I just hope you give yourself some down time to enjoy the little things in life like that. You're allowed to let loose and you should. It'd be quite the thing to behold." Sammy's drive, paired with her set of morals, greatly appealed to Ranger. He was absolutely enamored by her, that was plain to see. Her words make him laugh - what an idea! "Oh, no, I don't think the naked part is really my thing, sorry to disappoint, but I'll take you up on a riding date absolutely. That sounds like a good time." At this point though, there wasn't much Ranger wouldn't do for Sammy. All she had to do was say the word and he'd do all he could to accomodate her wants and needs. "Well, yeah, I just can't wrap my brain around why you'd consider it. You're older than I am, I thought you'd be more of the type to not want to feed into their little whatever the hell you want to call it." Though, maybe he got a kick out of playing with people like she did sometimes. Sarah didn't know him well enough to be able to know that. "Wow, okay, someone thinks really badly about themselves doesn't he? You realize that someone out there may not care about the typical shit that you think you lack right? That's boring, but maybe that's just me or, the better reason, you're meeting the wrong people. I can say that I'm not with anyone because they lack the understanding that I'm never going to be able to give myself fully to someone, there's things that I have to keep a secret." His last words made her look down, her hands falling into her lap as she picked imaginary lint off her flannel. It made her think of Eric and Shelley. Of Ashe. "Love's a powerful thing, sometimes you can fall in love with someone and it doesn't make sense to anyone else but you and that person. I hope that happens for you in your next lifetime though Xavier, you deserve it."

"You don't need to understand it, just accept it as my truth. I'm not the type to fit neatly into a box, no matter how hard I try to. Makes it hard to really know a person like that." Xavier meant what he said, he was at peace with it. Mostly. Sometimes that ache would come back to him, that deeply rooted loneliness that made it hard to breathe. Sometimes he still ached for a different life. He was only human after all, immortal or not.

Xavier couldn't help but wince as she called him out. He didn't need to confirm it, Sarah had him pegged exactly right. "I don't know what to say to that, Sarah. Maybe you're right about all of it. If you are, that makes me sad for you. It's a shame to have to stay so removed." His brow furrowed. Why was this such an uncomfortable conversation? "You're sweet for that, thank you. Is it possible for us to wish that for your next lifetime, too? I think your soul deserves a good long break after all you've endured." He didn't need to know every detail of her past to know that Sarah had experienced more than anyone ever should. "It would be nice to see how close you can get, you know, with another person. Before it becomes too much. How much happiness are you allowed to have?" // @blumhouses
