I made a page for Volume 2 of the Rescue Bots Zine by @turbofox-zines, which dropped preorders in February and is hopefully entering the shipping phase soon!

This was such a fun opportunity and I love how everyone’s work turned out!

Now for the rambling below vvv

I went into this project wanting to depict as many characters from the main cast as I could, while giving everyone a chance to shine and interact with each other in some less common combinations. This show is really nostalgic for me so I wanted to create a scene that shows that, even years in the future, they all still get together and hang out :) (I haven’t watched all of Academy so this isn’t necessarily compliant with that though haha)

I chose to the setting to be at this time (like twilight ig?) and on a beach to get some summer-y vibes and imply that this piece takes place after a whole day of spending time together (also glowy lights are fun)

i am extremely disappointed to recognize followers of mine that openly defended transphobia yesterday and today. these are people that have commented on my posts, engaged with my work, and expressed support for me, and in doing what they did, they have gone against everything i have ever spoken about on my platform.

are you aware that i am a transgender man? i do not live in a world where i can accept differences of opinion that threaten my human rights, no matter your faith. i try to be empathetic towards children that attempt to platform these beliefs, but fully grown adults defending these positions while every time i open the news i see the brutal, violent murder of my trans sisters is absolutely abhorrent. face the real world and see what your rhetoric is causing. the list of people who die to the violence you ally with grows larger and larger every single day, and you think this is acceptable because a book says so? fuck off. you are not welcome here.

i entirely understand the impulse to want to carefully educate the people that believe these harmful ideas, and to say that the cartoon we're in the fandom of does not support this, but frankly i think we are at a point where we should be citing real life violence and atrocity that is happening right now under our noses. what a cartoon does and does not support comes second to the lives of real life people. in fact, i barely care about that when i hear this! because my community is dying.

a month ago, juniper blessing, a 19 year old transgender woman (a year younger than me, mind you), was stabbed to death over 40 times, for the simple crime of being visibly transgender, and doing her laundry in a public space. she never hurt anyone. she was kind and joyful, she had dreams. and she looks so much like my little 15 year old sister, a transfeminine nonbinary person, that it makes me feel physically ill. i think of juniper every time i see this shit. i think of my baby every time i see this shit. that could be her one day, that could be me one day. and it already was for juniper. this is the rhetoric you platform, and people like the murderer are the ones you allow in your space by diminishing those "opinions"' impact.

if you believe that this is a necessary sacrifice to spread your faith, collateral damage in your beliefs, you are a monster. i have no remaining empathy for you, and saying that i have to due to a difference of opinion is so disconnected from reality that i do not trust you with anything else in my life. i do not want you around me, ever. you affect real people in the real world. and if i am murdered, it will be in part your fault. i hope you know that.

I’m still on season ONE 🤧🤧 me and my friend are watching through it together but we’re both like on completely different schedules. Bless faer soul for putting up w me LOL I remember we called and I literally fell asleep for like 2 hours and when I woke up I was like “okay time for cyberverse!!” We’re on ep 8 I think?
