Positivity is great, but
You don’t have to force yourself to smile. I understand. Sometimes pain can get really intense, and smiling isn’t possible. Sometimes going about your normal life just isn’t possible for a few days, and that is okay.
As much as promoting positivity is great, it shouldn’t be forced. Pain is the body’s way of telling us that something is wrong, so sometimes it can genuinely do more harm than good to force on a happy face and carry on. Sometimes we need to address pain.
Being upset sometimes isn’t necessarily a bad thing! It’s part of being human. Our bodies aren’t perfect. They get tired, they get sick. You don’t have to pretend everything is okay! Just remember not to allow your sorrow to be who you are.
