      he listened to her voice, head tilting slightly to the side as fingers scratched at his neck for a moment. the small relaxed state of his shoulders was definitely temporary, but something he always looked forward to when with her. glancing towards her, his fellow officer, his sister, zhu-long frowned. 

      “you gotta do that now?” a pause there, “i’m kind of in a rush here, aiyimi.”

      Tao had just been stretching his arm out when he felt the wind change course. It didn’t take even a second before Tao looked up, eyes locking onto Zhu-Long’s figure. Oh, whatta cheater. But there were no worries, it took just another second for Tao to catch up, hopping onto the same branch as his friend, “Hey!”

      “That’s cheating, Zhu!”

      soon, they were both standing side by side, a good foot between them. for now, zhu-long had stopped, eyes focused on tao. “well.”

      “i never did say i would do this fairly,” there was no point in doing so - if tao didn’t pay attention, then it was his own fault. “do you want a three second head start rather? if you’re going to WHINE about it.”

      “Sure, why not?” By then, Tao was already adjusting his scarf around his neck. This would be a good exercise, not only for Tao but both of them. Besides, Tao had been itching to do something that would keep him on his toes as of late. 

     Throwing Zhu-Long one more friendly smile, he said, “See you there!”

      of course. he took another step forward.

      “ch.”       tao was much too slow. by the time, the shinigami would look up, zhu-long               would’ve already been gone, scaling a large tree with ease and then using a quick step of           shunpo to get to the next.

      “fair enough.” he’s already taking a leisure pace, stopping at least a foot from tao, though he was now turned in the direction of their destination.
