Enjin's Dimples

The choke hold this man, and his hands, and his dimples have on me.... this is my anime side blog now because I thought it would be a good blog name and now I have a rant space! Yeah we're probably gonna talk a lot about Gachiakuta but hey, we might get some others in there to.

Can we all agree that deadnaming Enjin is such an unfunny “joke” , that was his slave name .. it’s just so damn weird and it’s SO OVERUSED

I mean its just answering the question, showing the reader knows what the characters don't! Surely that all! Thats why the peek and emphasis of it!

Surely its just a cool shape, its just artistic rendering of like arterial spray!

And surely not an implication or any sort of foreshadowing of how severe this injury actually is and how bad its going to get because in the immediate aftermath no one is going to realize Enjin even had shit to do with it

Because I don't think anyone even noticed Enjin got up (I mean I'll go check i guess). But there is no reason to think he did, no evidence he participated

Ya know right up until the smoke clears and they think to go looking for him and find him bleeding out I guess!?

And its an interesting shape. Don't know if that is just artistic rendering or implication of like anima energy shenanigans. Like if it was his own anime giving him the little razor knick there (just a scratch)

Someone on reddit suggested an idea of like what if the mechanism of injury here is his physical body rapidly catching up to the present after the effect of time walk. And proposing that maybe his blood pressure and like pulse spike so high it actually tore through and burst out his jugular. (Genhinely my main critique there was carotid artery makes more sense that the jugular vein for this purpose).

Discussion of Gachiakuta ch. 167 parts 1 and 2 below the cut!

So. So where to even begin. We are jumping around no dout.

I mean, haven't been in a church or picked up a Bible in so many years but buddy!! So fascinating though to think about what sort of religious concepts and artifacts have survived on the ground or have maybe fallen from the sphere.

How anima works is still very fascinating

Very interested in Eieshas powers actually, just for fun. No glaringly obvious reasons. She healed Gris...Riyo... presumably that mangled guy August brought her.

She channel's her anima to convert electricity into "life energy"... so interesting interesting.

So. Damn does my mans look good

And uh. In the TV post I mentioned a bit about him just "astral projecting". A concept even more fortified by the "its like attacking a soul directly" bit. Cool. Cool.

And we get another look back at Alto. Talking about the consequences of the watch.

Something about... time will "etch" itself on the body? Ill have to pull the exact wording later.

Um... then after that we get a clear shot of Enjins scar??? (I forget the order)

WHICH IS A TOTALLY FINE AND COOL THING.

I'd like to think there are two scenarios here:

1- he had used time walk before (because he needed to or was fucking around or finding out. Doesn't matter) and that was how he ended up with the scar.

Or 2- the scar may be the result of that near death experience and he did get hit by that car. And IF its that then maybe that is how his body unconsciously processes that "etching" consequences.

(I actually have screen shots for some anima exploration from when they talked about Remlin's powers. How the general idea stays the same but there are variations with each new user)

BUT WITH THAT I think there is standing there that maybe the physical body is going to take a blow mirroring the damage caused by the anima body against their target. Because that sensation is already tied to the one of time slowing down in Enjins body

(If we're playing with idea number 2 there)

And damn do i love when he looks absolutely feral. Its so hot. TERRIBLE BECAUSE BABYGIRL NOO!! But still. Damn.

And Time Walk is just a moment. Not even a second. Its just stretched in the perception of the user. And it has its limit. A moment cannot be indefinite.

And once its up, the soul is snapped back to its body in its present physical awareness.

And did the necklace get destroyed?? I feel like that's not clear yet. I have to go back. But shit rudo. Did you break a Watchman?? What's gonna happen to the chokers?? (If its broken. I dont know. Might not even be.)

BUT THE MAN IS LOOKING GOOD BLEEDING OUT.
