Please read, share, help if you can!

My fiance and I are getting kicked out of the house on December 1st. We have very little money, and definitely not enough to pay for an apartment or a deposit. We have no options left for housing and are scared.

This will be the third time we are facing homelessness. We are legitimately considering camping for a few weeks at this point, I have barely enough money to pay for a tent and a heater to get us through the cold nights. This is serious.

My car is illegal at the moment as I have no money for insurance, tags and inspection. It runs well, and will likely pass inspection, but to get tags we have to have insurance. I own the car, but getting it street legal is a huge endeavor. I need around $350 for the car alone.

We plan to move in with my sister in January but right now we have no place to go for December. I’m good at camping and we could make it a few weeks outdoors, but we want to avoid that if at all possible - it’s getting very cold. Homeless shelters are not really an option, my fiance is a trans woman and we fear it won’t be safe for us. We have spoke with many organizations meant to help people like us, but with it being at the end of the year all funding for those programs have been exhausted. I recently got a job serving at TGI Fridays, which should enable us to get on our feet soon but funds are much too low to afford any housing right now. My fiance can’t work due to severe OCD, PTSD, and the fact that she’s trans certainly doesn’t help get her jobs.

If you have literally any money to send, we would greatly appreciate it. Spare change will help at this point. Even better, if you are in the greater Richmond area of Virginia and have a place for us to stay, we will take you up on the offer.
