“Oh I was taught, I just happened to inherit dad’s nasty habit of not listening to anyone’s advice until it bites me in the ass.”
“Your father’s stubbornness can only be rivalled by my own.”
“Smartass,” he muttered.
Erik busted out with a laugh. “Ha! The problem with your generation is you were never taught to respect your elders.”
“That it certainly is. However, I’m quite sure I will never truly tire of our little debates. They are, after all, always rather compelling, I must admit.”
“It pains me to say but I must agree with you there, old friend.”
He shrugged, he’d probably do something just as stupid again. It seemed to be a curse of his that he probably should be working on.
“Ok but how are you supposed to prepare for a gamble like that?” Other than not making it in the first place.
“I think you have just answered your own question.”
“DAMMIT!” So much for the only way he could possibly think that was a good combination would be if he couldn’t see the colors right. “Well there goes 50 bucks right out the window.”
“Greeeeaaaaat,” he muttered looking rather like a pouting child. He swears he’s an adult.
“Sorry to disappoint you, young Xavier. Perhaps this will teach you not to risk a gabble without the proper preparation.”
“Your original one. The classic Magneto,” he replied. “The one that tends to come to people’s minds when you’re brought up.”
“Red the colour of blood, which I choose to tribute the lives lost before me. Then purple a colour of royalty.”
“Blah blah blah, you sound like a Red Skull knock off.”
“Careful, I have killed men for far less. This time I doubt you even have the strength to toss that shield at me.”
“You got a point with that statement? Cause if you’re looking to humiliate me with insults, it’s not going to work.”
“ You are defeated. I do not have to do anything that has not already been done.”

“Oh how the mighty have fallen.”
❝ The risin’ darkness. Unless you lot have some anti- possession abilities hidden up your sleeves, you’re goin’ to find a lot of your folks actin’ out of character soon enough, ‘n’ when they do, you’re not goin’ to be able to stop ‘em wi’out wipin’ the poor souls out too. I can help, but in return, your… talents, they’d be useful. These demons aren’t known for throwin’ cushions ‘n’ teddy bears at the folks tryin’ to send ‘em back to hell… if you get what I mean, big man. ❞

“Ok I’ve always wanted to ask you this and I’ve got a bet to settle: what colors are your costume?” Jeremy asked.
“That would depend on which costume you speak of. Since joining the X-Men I’ve been forced to change three times already.”
“Sadly, I must agree with you there, Magnus. Our… ways do differ a great deal. As do our motives.”
“Yet we always find each other to debate them. It is an never ending cycle, old friend.”
❝ This might come as a surprise to you since I’m well aware of your, uh… we’ll call it ‘dislike’ of my kind, but I could use your help. It effects you lot too, y’know, mutants. ❞

“I have heard the claims of homo-magi, not quite the same as homo-superior but the line between the two is quite thin.”

“What is it that you want from me, human?”
Rachel chewed on her lip, she was never sure how to take these kinds of things. “Then whatever you’d call it.” She said waving a hand.
“I also wanted to say thanks. For saving me.” That could encapsulate a few things, stopping her from becoming brain dead in a mental battle or from slaughtering humans who had hurt Kitty. She owed him more than she realized
“There is no need to thank me, I wasn’t going to let my fellow mutant die now was I?”
“You-” and her hand went to her knife, made from carbon, “/Destroyed my world./ I’m not greasing afraid of you.”
He sees the knife, carbon, he smiles hoping the girl will make more of a challenge than first thought. “I have done many things in my life-- bad things, but destroying your world is not one of them.”
