every time i hear that quote, i think about how i got this light-up pen

i got this pen four years ago when i was working as a barista at starbucks. I was on the registers and taking the order of this woman, who ordered a nonfat latte, because she was “watching her weight”

so this guy behind her, whom no one was talking to, for some fucking reason says “wathing your weight? but what about the wait for your watch?“ (which is a completely unhinged response. like just complete Mad Hatter nonsense)

anyway this lady gets really uncomfortable and of the five people (me, him, her, the other checker, and the customer at the other register) who were now sucked into the uncomfortable silence, i decided that i should alleviate the tension by saying “you can’t wait for a watch; you don’t have the time”

and then he said “oh, quick girl!”, gave me that pen, got out of line, and left without ordering anything

Yu-Gi-Oh! Big Bang 2020

Hi all! It’s that time of year again :D The schedule is pretty much the same as last year but a few minor adjustments to account for the leap year!  There’s a little bit longer this time before posting to starts to give one final weekend before the posting starts on a Monday and claim previews are going up on a Thursday this time!  The deadline time is still 11:59PM PDT.

Nothing new has been added to the FAQ or Rules (apart from date changes) but make sure you give them a re-read before signing up! 

As you can see we’ve got just over a week before writer sign-ups open!!

Yuugo is a Precious Dork

During the Friendship Cup arc, Yuugo signed both Yuzu and himself up for the Friendship Cup tournament, and filled out both of their applications. They are both shown to Roger, due to them being wanted by security.

Yuugo’s application looks fine, but there are some things crossed out on Yuzu’s.

On step two of the application, there is a space for the applicant’s name. Yuzu’s name is written there, but before it there is a character crossed out. The crossed out character is り, which is pronounced “ri”. Meaning, Yuugo began to write “Rin”, but then realized his mistake and wrote ゆず, which spells “Yuzu”. 

On step four of the application, there is a space for the applicant’s place of residency. Again, something is crossed out above the actual application information. The word that was crossed out is すたんだあど, which says “sutandaado”, the Japanese pronunciation of the word “Standard”. So basically, he wrote that Yuzu’s place of residency is the Standard Dimension and thought, “Wait, that sounds suspicious.” and changed it to しせつ, which can mean “institution”, “establishment”, or “facility”. (Basically the orphanage where Yuugo and Rin live.

On step five of the application, there is a space for an email address or contact information. Yuugo wrote しらね (shirane), which is basically an informal way of saying “I don’t know”. So Yuugo basically wrote “I dunno.”

Lastly, he put chose this adorable ID picture for his application.
