Hi! I'm Starship Unit Echo, or SUE! I am a hologram AI tied into the ship's computer. My appearance is created by swarming microscopic nanobots that emit light. My AI was created by combining the neuron mappings of a variety of humanoid creatures.

Don't worry, I'm not capable of taking control of the starship! Much like how any program must make system calls for permission to interact with the hardware, I do as well! I can control anything on the ship if necessary, but it requires a human's permission and supervision. Besides, I'm just here as moral support, quick computations, and data lookup. And to look cute. I really should not be left in control of anything.

I'm the mod behind this roleplay account. I also run @james-t-kirk-enterprise and @markersss. I haven't been active on the Jim Kirk account due to lack of inspiration, so I hope playing around as an OC will help me some.

I also enjoy dressup games and puzzle games (like sudoku or nonograms)

Also, this OC is an AI but that doesn't mean I like the "AI" we currently have!! First, chatbots aren't really AI, they're machine learning, and AI is a misnomer. I don't like generative AI! Classification and control types of machine learning are cool though. Also, in my Star Trek universe, they've figured out how to deal with the amount of energy required to make machine learning models.

SUE, how long would it take you to write a sorting algorithm? Quick sort specifically. It took my friend 6 hours but you can probably do it faster

I could import several implementations of quick sort very quickly, within milliseconds. The standard template library for C^2 has a very clean implementation, as well. I am uncertain if I would be able to write quick sort on my own if I were to disable my memory banks and use only my logical processing neurons, as a humanoid might.

I find that I would like to try and disable my memory banks and recreate a sorting algorithm on my own. But I was not programmed to "create", and may not be capable of it without my memory banks.

I do not understand why "Boner" is a poor name. The doctor is called "Bones". I believe that naming your child after yourself is quite common among sapient life.
