Send me "hey" and I'll shuffle my iTunes and tell you our song
good news: i do not care
“When people see my expression they usually say that I look cold or even ask if I’m mad. I was just standing there, so I realized for the first time that I appear that way after hearing those kinds of comments. But the people around me know that I’m not like that. Truthfully, I’m more affectionate and fragile-hearted than people think.”
she dipped her head in a slight, but polite bow of respect, then held her hand out for the woman to take. “the name is adela, be sure to remember it.” she said teasingly, then let her smile grow more tenderly. “it’s a pleasure.”
“Adela?” She tested the name through her own voice, allowing it to set within memory. “That’s a unique name.” She also carefully shook the latter’s hand, slightly chuckling. “The name is June and the pleasure is all mine.” With a sheepish grin, June continued to observe the odd (more elaborate) behavior of the woman before her. “You seem quite... exquisite and out dated. Old fashioned.”
▕ ▍still locked and bolted from the inside.”
Don’t ask why but Wolfgang had been staring at himself in the mirror. Sometimes he caught sight of himself and he just sort of… didn’t recognize what he was seeing. He’d been brushing his teeth when it happened, his toothbrush tucked into the corner of his mouth and hanging there as he blinked at his own reflection. Toothpaste was messy around his mouth as he had a staring match with himself and it was only until he heard a distinct crashing sound that he was pulled out of his trance.
Almost like he had classically conditioned himself, his hand was reaching into a basket of towels only to pull out a hidden gun. Stepping out of the bathroom, he undid the safety on the weapon and pointed it in front of him. He had no idea where the sound had exactly come from but as he rounded the corner and found a girl laying there in his apartment almost like she had fallen into it, he became stationary. Toothbrush still hanging out of his mouth, he cocked his head to the side, “Umm…,” Wolfgang turned to look at his front door —of which was still locked and bolted from the inside— before turning back to gape at her, “What the hell.”
Within instant of the voice traveling to her ears, June immediately spun in the direction to come face to face with a barrel. Not extremely close, more like the aim would definitely hit more accurately at how distanced it seemed to be from June. Sighing, she slumped back onto her side, quite stressed and unlike herself from exhaustion. “Pointing a gun at someone is quite shitty and rude.” She spoke casually, feigning oblivion at the situation. It wasn’t something unusual in her day to day life. She almost sounded hurt, playing the victim role quite well. It only had then occurred to her how fucked she truly was, again.
“You can’t call the police! I promise I won’t hurt you or anything— just, don’t.” For the first time, June could feel the actual anxiety and nervousness settling into each bone within her body. If it had been any other occurrence she’d be fine. However, her mental control over herself was low and she couldn’t guarantee that doing anything related to sorcery would work out well. This was the first time she had actually fucked up so bad that she was desperate. The thought of actually being locked within another isolation chamber was much more threatening than the gun in front of her. “Let me explain.” She had to quickly think of some fake story or else she would kiss her freedom goodbye.
Long… Goongi thought of the thousands of years he had been the Guardian of Seocheon. Yes, it has been long but he would never say he noticed the passage of time in the realm where time did not exist. He shook his head. “Never in my life nor after it have I felt bored. I don’t think I fully grasp the concept of boredom…” He smiled at her irritation. “They are not just flowers. And… well I suppose I could tell you the full story but you would take me for a lunatic and I am trying to make a more or less good impression on you.”
June, herself, was past such abnormalities. “You’re right. I’ll probably think you’re delusional.” Impressions had completely flown over her head with ease. It’s something she believed strongly by: your worst impression should be your first impression. She always tried to live up to it, the thought of starting on the wrong foot with people would weed out those she considered unworthy. “Good impressions are garbage. They don’t exist. I’m currently judging you as we speak.” The way she spoke was suggestive, almost hinting at the fact she was indeed slightly curious.
( Kai eyed the female from head to toes and toes to head, she did looked like she was tasty, his crimson irises stared at her, squinting his eyes, making the moment much more tense than it already was.) “No, I won’t… as you may see I am dinning here; however you saw me, the ghoul… and I cannot let you off so easily, pretty face.”
“You touch me and I’ll kill you.” It wasn’t necessarily subtle, however had a poisonous under tone to how thorough she had meant what she said. “I could care less about whatever supernatural shit you’re involved with. Actually, I don’t really give a fuck at all.” Which was the honest truth. June had her own typical daily shit to deal with. Meeting some type of ghoul was the least of her problems.
The moment her soft voice had reached her ears, he pauses in his tracks. An eyebrow raises, turning to face her once again because why would she want to continue a conversation with some stranger she waned to dispose of seconds ago. Although, she had captured his attention enough for him to consider lingering a bit longer, despite knowing her words were nothing but lies mumbled through her teeth. It didn’t hurt to play along. ❝Oh?
He tips his head to the side, feigning genuine curiosity to what she had mentioned. Danger? Be careful? He was full of unluck and trouble would find him eventually if that was the case, he was simply prone to that. What she hadn’t realized was he wasn’t new, he was just familiarizing himself to the city once again.
❝ Do you mind doing the favor of tagging along then? Just in case, you know. I’d also hate for that to happen. ❞
Well, June had not been expecting that type of response; nearly being thrown off guard. She truly didn’t want to aid the boy, as it would waste her time. Whatever that time would waste, she had no idea. It was typically just her time to measle around and get a feel for who exactly she wanted to torment next. Most would call it lazy time. She called it her precious time.
“Tagging along?” She let out a laugh. “You look quite old enough to handle yourself.” June had found herself caught, no matter how rare it occurred. She was always great at improvising, but, it would never lead to the fun she’d always want to experience if she continued being brittle and sour. “Are you scared or something?”
The Evil Within-Sentence Meme Pt. 2
● „You were moaning in your sleep. Had a bad dream?“ ● „Memories are vague things indeed. That is why they must be cherished.“ ● „You look as if you’d seen a ghost.“ ● „How did you get here..?“ ● „Why are you back? I didn’t give you permission.“ ● „In science one must do any number of things a lay person may find ‘disgusting’.“ ● „I’ve done many things others would consider…. distasteful.“ ● „You think I’m some kind of monster.“ ● „Is there something you wish to discuss, { NAME }?“ ● „How dare you come into my home and threaten me?“ ● „Did you actually think if you locked me away I would just cease to exist? Out of sight, out of mind?“ ● „Well you were never out of my mind.“ ● „I hope you’re proud of yourself.“ ● „No cure for what I’m going to do with you.“ ● „Trying to make me feel sorry for you?“ ● „You did this to us!“ ● „How many have you killed, { NAME }?“ ● „They served a higher purpose, they furthered my research.“ ● „Either way; you’re mine to do with as I please.“ ● „Who do you think you are?“ ● „I know what you crave, what you fear.“ ● „Too bad they dragged you into this.“ ● „What the hell do you think you’re doing?“ ● „Listen to me, goddammit!“ ● „If you hadn’t come along…“ ● „You attacked me! I’m sorry, but you’re tainted now.“ ● „Let’s concentrate on getting out of here.“ ● „Haven’t you figured it out yet?“ ● „You again?!“ ● „Don’t patronize me. I have orders.“ ● „Did you think I wouldn’t find out?“ ● „I have surpassed you in every way you could imagine.“ ● „You brought this on yourself.“ ● „You cannot keep me here!“ ● „Right at this moment that’s enough for me not to trust you!“ ● „Bullshit!“

Haunting sculptures by Sasha Vinci. This one is titled L'Eterna Attesa or the Eternal Wait.
“I can accept a woman may have secrets. I am a gentleman and I shall not prow. If you choose to share later on you will, if not – the not, simple. I have patience. It’s one of those things I have been practicing for many, many years now at my job.” Goongi shifted his weight from one leg to the other and cracked his wrist. He smiled as he noticed that for the first time the girl was finally growing curious of him. “The Gardener says exactly what I do. I am one who takes care of flowers. I’m just… better at it than others? Or maybe it’s about the flowers. Technically you, in your current state would not be able to see them, even though for me they are everywhere, even now around us” He smiled, sure that he explained everything.
“You must have been working for a long time. Don’t you ever get bored?” June inquired. Metaphors and circles had never honestly clicked completely, as they could be confusing and require mental power to actually debunk them. The person hadn’t been making sense, causing June to become quite annoyed. “How can you take care of flowers better than others? Aren’t they just, you know, flowers?” She wanted to wipe the grin off of his face considering she was still very much confused. “I’m completely lost.”
