therealflukeâ:Â
you know what ? flukeâs spirit animal may have been eeyore, but he could still crack a smile when need be and the other manâs joke deserved a smile. the highest form of flattery⊠when he continued talking, flukeâs eyes glanced downward, landing on the guitar that leaned against the bench. â yeah. â what a pitiful response he gave as he maneuvered to sit by the other. but now it was his turn to prompt conversation â that was how things worked. pointing at the guitar, he asked, â how long have you⊠been playing ? â what a conversationalist !
with the prompt given to him by the other â the prompt to either play something or play chopsticks â he was given an absolutely brilliant idea ! as he wracked his brain for songs that could suit this idea well, he was certain he looked like⊠an idiot. then, ah ! lightbulb ! pointing to the guitar once again, he asked, â do you know âhurtâ ? nine inch nails and/or johnny cash ? â the johnny cash version ? perfect for a piano/guitar duet !
the man reminded him of beck, when heâd first met him. not super talkative but also a bit... lost, maybe. maybe it was more than he reminded eoin of himself, back when heâd lost aoife. like talking was sometimes too hard. âmost of me life, but iâm fairly sure iâm still a bit shite at it,â he laughed. âi started like... when i was 6? same with piano, but i kept up with guitar more. what about you?âÂ
shuffling over a little more, he leaned forward to grab his guitar, then eventually decided to shift seats so as not to hit the other with his guitar as he played. âahh johnny cash, not too familiar with the nine inch nails version, but the cash version, for sure.â
