Hey my other blog, @ephemeral-gunslinger , has been hacked into. I regret to inform I will have to use this blog to update everyone about the new blog I’ll be having for Maiya, but it seems the battle for the other blog has been lost [I put a lot of effort into personally changing the HTML and such, so I was more than a bit pissed to have it hacked.]

Once more, staff has failed at their job of having multiple authenticators to protect a blog. Figures. Anyways, the new blog will be posted by next weekend hopefully [I have a lot coming up with the new semester beginning on the 2nd]. Wish me luck~!

“Are you certain that is everything you know, Matou?” Maiya’s eyes are blank as she processes what she’s been told. It’s nothing beyond what she knew, of course, but perhaps there was still information being withheld. This final question should get whatever else the younger woman is hiding, if anything.

Her dead gaze seems to be unconcerned as passerby glance down the alley. They’re scum enough to turn their heads, unfortunate for the girl. Yet at the same time, it angers Maiya that no one challenges her in this darkened alley. She sighs through her nose, awaiting the other before her to confirm everything before handing over bandages.

Why wouldn’t this person leave? Why does she keep asking?

Sakura knows she’s simply doing her job but doesn’t think that she can keep up this pretense any longer… if she continues to ask her. Her hands are sweaty and her knees weak, and she’s just about to fall.

She barely registers the stranger’s gaze drifting towards the alley, and it’s only when those eyes are back on her that she realises that she missed a chance to get away– No, no, no, she’ll catch me otherwise. Sakura allows herself a deep breath, feeling her body quake.

Please… let this be the end of it.

“Very well, if you’re certain there’s nothing...” Maiya flashes a knife, throwing it hard. Hopefully, it’s grazed the other’s cheek or ear. All that confirms its flight is its shatter upon the brick wall behind Sakura.

“Approach me. One step. If you can manage, I will leave,” It’s clear Maiya knows Sakura is lying. She’s been in too many shake-downs not to see this. Though Maiya had actually thought this was pointless, seeing as Sakura wasn’t the heir, it’s turned out to show the girl does know something.
