When writing the Sandman, how were you involved in the design of the characters and the overall drawings of the comics? I mean, did you write it all down and the artists would interpret it? Or would you draw sketches?

Normally descriptions of characters were in the scripts. Sometimes I’d send a sketch as well, or even a photocopy of a photograph if there was something the artists needed to see.

I've just found out that originally John Dee was meant to meet the Joker when escaping from Arkham asylum, so of course, I need to know all about it. What happened in that scene? How did they meet?? Is that sequence posted anywhere online? Also, who would you have had voicing the Joker in the audiobook??? Any sort of trivia you share with us will make me happy. Thanks :)

Same scene only it was the Joker hanging from the noose and not the Scarecrow, and he said Joker things instead of Scarecrow things.
