I can now call myself a physiotherapist!! All the studying for 5 straight years paid off. But this isn't where I stop pushing myself. I gotta keep moving forward. But first, let's get back to the island life for a bit 🌴

Those three things were what my day composed of. As I was preparing for today last night, I was getting really sad because school was becoming very overwhelming. I finished my research proposal, read through my report then willed myself to study the two chapters. I went to sleep God knows when.

Skipped my first class today so that I could catch up on sleep and print my papers, then went in the rest of my classes. As the day passed by, I realized it wasn’t so bad. I’ve already gone so far, in my fourth year of PT. Why would I let a few tasks fail me?

All you have to do is ride it. Ride every obstacle, don’t resist and give it all you have. At the end of the day, what you reap is what you sow. It may seem very exhausting while you’re doing it, but do it for the results. Think of the bigger picture. You’re not supposed to be in school to pass, you’re supposed to be in school to become a professional! Live life how you want to, but don’t forget that everyone has a purpose in this world. Think positive! Sacrifice is nothing compared to results.

Imma have a massage and a joint. I think I deserve it. After I study, of course. We have another long exam tomorrow on PT interventions for stroke patients huhu

I had lunch with my ex boyfriend last Monday (010216). We watched a movie. We talked. We held hands. We hugged. We kissed. We decided that maybe it’s not time for us to get back together just yet, but we could see each other from time to time.

Today he asked me to have dinner with him and his family this Sunday. I asked him if it wasn’t gonna be weird for his parents and it turns out, he already told them that we sometimes see each other. Is it weird that I find it sweet how he tells his parents about me?

The thing that keeps me holding on to this guy is that he keeps it real. Even though we aren’t in a relationship anymore, we can still talk and be completely honest with each other, zero mind games or that I’ll-wait-for-him-to-message-me-first bullshit. Because I know how he feels about me and he knows how I feel about him. Why fight that irresistible urge to tell someone you love them?

Honestly, I feel like this is how relationships should be, romantic or not. If you miss someone, tell them. If you want to see someone, tell them. If you want to hold them, tell them. Nothing is going to happen without communication. If that person loves you as much as you think they do, they will reciprocate in 100% of those situations. What’s there to lose? The whole playing hard to get thing isn’t gonna do anyone any good.

Be the one that makes the first move. Learn to accept that, maybe, you have it in you to be the one that loves more. And that’s nothing to be ashamed of.

I decided to leave all the negativity that was going through my mind yesterday behind me and spent the day doing what my mom and dad told me. We also ended the day with dinner and a movie together. Surprisingly, I didn't have any thoughts about self harm anymore. It's strange, but I am grateful for this enlightenment. 4 days clean and only smoked 2 cigarettes today. My ass has DOMS because of the yoga I did yesterday. Today, I realized that no matter how bad your days are, time will still pass. The world will still revolve, and everyone else's lives will still resume. A bad day is just a bad day. There are no pauses in life.
