I love Cookie Jesus Pure Vanilla, Saint Pure Vanilla, and overall good Pure Vanilla characterization as much as the next person, but I’d LOVE to see more of Pure Vanilla’s flaws being explored and considered, like

Give me reckless Pure Vanilla, or impulsive Pure Vanilla. Give me the Pure Vanilla that thinks of himself too much as “the only one who can” and forgets he counts on a team that can also do things. Heck, even “liar by omission” Pure Vanilla would be nice to see every once in a while, but I want more people to explore the fact that he’s not perfect nor fully “good”

#This depiction of Pyre Vanilla's inner mind isn't mentioned enough and I'm tired of it #for someone that seems to suffer the loss of someone dear and is as compassionate and empathetic as him it must take a very heavy toll #Pure Vanilla is such a bittersweet character and I imagine his thoughts are too. It's just not talked enough about if it isn't Truthless #which is fair it's his lowest point where thise thoughts took over in a more 'hostile' way #but pre beast yeast Pure Vanilla must have been there under a more... “him” “facade” if you must. Heck maybe even pre dark flour war #and after awakening his suffering is not yet over. I don't like it when they make it seem like his internal struggle is over already #sure it must feel good understand that imperfections make us us. But he already knew that #it's just that he can't seem to fully accept the same for himself #Also. “Will we ever live normal again?” is something I think about him too much. considering he was a shepherd with barely anyone around and #seemingly not many resources. It always hit me as someone who lived on nothing but then he became someone very known and privileged #it's not much to do with the comic's actual imagery and stuff but bear with me okay #Pure Vanilla is someone that is obviously compassionate and loves cookiekind very much #so the “the war is cruel. the world is cruel too” feels so... personal and bitter because he is aware of that pain but he knows he can't do #anything ahout it because it's just how thing have been and how things seem to continue and will continue being like. something I personally #relate very much to and feel like it's not that represented #NEVERTHELESS THE ILLUSTRATIONS ARE SO PRETTY OMG????? I'M IN LOVE WITH YOUR ART IT'S SO MEANINGFUL AND PRETTY AND I'M SOBBING
