INTRODUCTION

Hello fans, welcome to the ERC mid-season newsletter. This post will summarise headlines that this season has brought. From AMS dominance to the HRT surge and TTRE's shock exit

AMS DOMINANCE

Alien Motorsports has dominated the first half of both the 2s and 4s championship, winning all but two of the first six races in 2s and half of the first six in 4s. This reign of terror from AMS came from them going dry in ERC for the first time since its inception. XR8, the 2s champions are not looking so good currently sitting in third in the championship.

NO ASSISTS CANCELLED

Our no assists offering had to be cancelled before the start of the season due to the lack of interest. With a lot of competition for series on Wednesday’s and a later start of the final season for F1 24 it meant that we had to cancel the championship. Unfortunately, this meant we lost amazing teams from the server such as IRS and IRT that only operate with no assists drivers. Hopefully ERC can be fully up and running with the highly anticipated Formula 1 2025 game!

F1 25 ANNOUNCED

F1 in 2025 is coming back for another year. The game from EA and Codemasters will be available to the public on the 30/05/2025. This means the admins at ERC will be working hard to get a new season up and running at the start of the new game. Make sure to enter your team to be a part of the inaugural F1 25 season in the Evolution Racing Championship!

TTRE CLOSES

One of the biggest and most successful community esports teams was forced to close in the middle of this season to due issues with ownership. The team had won a two championships with ERC including one 2s and one 4s championship.

F1 25 Announced!

Formula 1's newest game from Codemasters and EA is coming out at the end of May and we couldn't be more excited. This games handling is seemingly going to be a lot more enjoyable compared to the current F1 24 based of Beta tests from our ERC members. With the launch of the F1 25 game will come a new season for Evolution Racing Championship. The server will be popping off over the next few weeks with signups, calendar announcements and more!

R3. Saudi Arabia Grand Prix

This week we travelled to Saudi Arabia to the City of Jeddah for their infamous street circuit. This track is the fastest track on the calendar with average speeds of over 250kmh. The 6.714km track first graced the world of F1 in 2021 and has been one of the first races in the season since, and in ERC that is no different!

Our races in 2s and 4s started with Hyper Racing Team and Legacy Racing ahead after the first lap respectively. In 2s, Ryan Bannick of champions XR8 displayed amazing pace up until the pit window which saw Cesoi inherit the lead. This could not be sustained but their teammate REVROB took victory, his second this season. XR8 finished off the podium until a shock DSQ for XR8s Bran after they were found with incorrect roles before the race.

4s saw the previous weeks winner Erik take the lead early however an amazing tyre strategy from TTRE driver HalfShow sent him to the lead with a command 2.5s lead over his rivals. This lead could be sustained unlike Cesois and was actually extended all the way to over 6 seconds due to their tyre advantage. LR driver Jack and SET driver Zwart rounded off the podium

What is Community Esports?

The league we run is slightly different to what a normal player or league racer may be used to. We run a community esports league. This essentially means we do not let just anyone race, they have to be a part of a team. Teams can be created by anyone. The only rule is to be fast enough to join! At the start of each season, teams would apply to join our league and then thye would partake in a qualifiers session which tests the teams qualifying pace against those that also applied. The top 9 (top 4 in our 4s category) teams in the qualifiers along with the champions of the previous season are then entered in to compete for the title that season.

We have started boosting our social media presence to gather more teams for our championships, as well as growing the teams that compete here by promoting comunity esports participation to those that do not know what it is! If you are interested, feel free to join our Discord server and ask the team owners if you could join, I am sure they will have room for you!

Evolution Racing Championship

Hello everyone!

This is ERC. We are a community esports racing league with the aim to bring the best competition and racing to the game! With an amazing third season for ERC, I have started this blog to round up and review the racing from each weeks championship.

ERC runs a 2s and 4s championship every Monday and Tuesday with a 12 race calendar. It is sure to be an exciting one!
