Idk if this is really related, but people feel really comfortable being racist towards Asians in the anti community. Like, as an Asian, most Asians that I see online and offline hold the principle of 'what fiction I don't like, I won't post about it'. Not to say all, but a fair amount of them do, even if most of them don't know what proship is. That's why mangakas can get away with depicting whatever in their manga more often than not.
But due to that, people streotype Asians as pedophiles (they mean child predators, but I guess they want to conflate the words). You won't believe how many people genuinely say "Japanese people are pedos!!!" "Japan should be bombed again!!" "Asians should stay away from the main world" (main world as in the public (in the eyes of white people), I guess?)
They streotype us like that, yet they expect content from us. They hold Asia to an impossibly high standard, then say we're hiding a dark secret---as if Asians aren't human and have the human capability to be both good and bad! I don't mind people saying this that Asian countries have flaws and should take accountability for it, but they say it in such a way that is basically "I don't see Asians as individual people and see them as a group and I want to invalidate the genuine accomplishments of Asians by implying their accomplishments are moot since lookkk!!! They're hiding a big bad secret (white countries do the same thing)!!!"

you're not reaching at all, anon, and you don't have to apologise for the long rant! we've 100% noticed the same thing, with japanese people usually getting the brunt of antis' racism. they love saying that asian people are "pedophiles" (read: child predators), acting as if other ethnicities are morally pure and good compared to asian people… and then they turn around and call all proship people white?
