i love this charming boy and his glasses. with a starry pointed hat, book, and orb, he is a beautiful archetypal wizard that just happens to also be a rabbit. i can't believe they named him bunnykins. he's made of ceramic with a rather muted palette that's a little hard to photograph, but he's one of the cherished favorites of my colleciton.

Windstone Editions Wizard Frog by M. Peña

this has got to be one of the best wizard frogs in existence. his face is beautifully grumpy, his hat is lovingly sculpted, and the paint is perfect. he's admittedly one of my more expensive wizards, but he was worth every penny. the orb and eyes are made of glass. the body is heavy, likely cast gypsum. windstone has other wizards i would love to have, particularly the mouse version, but they're rightfully sought after and hard to find at a price i'm willing to pay. i recommend looking at their gorgeous dragons, too. this was one of the first wizards i'd ever purchased, even before i knew i wanted to collect them. i was at an art fair some years ago, and something drew me to him. i don't think the artist was present, the table had all sorts of trinkets, and they only wanted $12 for him. i think he's very charming and odd. he's attached to a small piece of marble, i believe.

1999 Claire's Icing Wizard Bear Trinket Box

this trinket box was likely made to celebrate the coming millennium. claire's had a line of bear trinket boxes around this time, sold under the icing brand, but i'm not sure how popular they were. i remember claire's being around back then, but i didn't shop there. it's an adorable concept that i think loses some of its charm for how cheaply made it was, but i love that they made it.

this was a love at first sight find, everything about drungo is perfect to me. he's very small, about four inches from toe to hat tip. though he's made of fabric i hesitate to call him a plush, he's more of a soft sculpture. very beautiful, love him very much.
