Calling it for the year and heading home. Time, money, summer heat, a string of bad luck, general physical deterioration, business concerns, and sheer exhaustion have won.

We hiked about 650 miles, saw a lot of amazing things, met a lot of wonderful people, and successfully lived in the woods for 3 months. It's been a wild ride and so different than I expected outside of the hiking and camping aspects.

With any luck, Candyman & I will return for another 2-3 month adventure next year and keep heading north from where we left the AT.
